Eternal Court

The Nox Populi is an upscale experience that will take Sacramento nightlife to a whole new level.

In the heart of downtown Sacramento there is a place of intrigue, excitement and entertainment. The modern flare of this venue is host to exclusive parties. The seduction of this establishment may take you away as you drink, dance and socialize. There are private services available upon request. The best DJ’s in town are in line to play a wide variety of music. Some of you may dine…as long as you have your VIP pass.

However the Kindred arrive they are discreetly met and led to the back of the club. The space downstairs is decorated in dark, rich woods and expensive furniture. There's a coat room that will also hold one's 'unmentionables'; namely, weapons, at the foot of the stairs. There are also private areas, dark, and furnished with soft couches, as well as meeting rooms with conference tables and chairs, and an area with several televisions. The Court area is decorated with long black and brown silken drapes cascading from floor to ceiling. Draped in elegant bunches and gathered into valances across door frames and between supporting pillars; the lighting is intentionally low, but without the pulse of the music from above, the place has the feel of a sepulchre.

The common area circles the Court proper, and it becomes apparent that this is not decorated for a single evening. Small symbols note areas for Kindred only that branch off of the Commons, which will be necessary once those Kine privileged enough to see behind the Masquerade filter in: ghouls, herd members, or even devotees. The furniture setting is familiar now: a set of elegant chairs, all dark wood and red leather, arranged in a circle. The baroque lighting leaves the corners of the Elysium commons in deep shadow.

Another evening; another Danse. For some it will their first, for some it shall be their last. After all, this is the Prince's Elysium, and subject to the Laws of the Domain.

Eternal Court is not a singular event. Always open and in constant motion, a compression of the comings and goings of Kindred within Elysium throughout the nights. As such, Eternal Court is also never truly empty; this can include 'faceless masses' of Kindred beneath notice, ghouls, herd members, devotees, or even officials in their offices.

Jennifer walked into Court, Liam two steps behind. They both turned over an item to the coat check. Jennifer a short sword length item, Liam a locked case. For the first time, Jennifer passed over the green silk scarf that concealed her neck and shoulders. A wound that resembles a shark bite was revealed on one side of Jennifer's neck and shoulder. It did not expose bone or vital area, yet looks like it would cause significant impact to a mortal.

Jennifer walked with confidence into Elysium proper. Liam steps over to the side of the room, waiting to be summoned by his regnant. Tonight was going to be interesting, Jennifer thought.

What would the kindred think about the competition at Court?
Jennifer held usual pattern of arriving later so the acknowledged Kindred could arrive first.

Jennifer wore an off the shoulder couture dress, tailored for her 5'7" frame. It was well designed, tailored to fit her. Yet

The Lady held herself with dignity and respect as she looked around for someone to speak with. Jennifer was Blushed. Her makeup was peach lipstick and light brown eye shadow. Her hair was styled straight and in a half updo, a black plastic hair stick with a bit of frill design to match the flow of her dress.

The coterie of Clarke, Jake and Sánchez enter together as a knot. Ms. Clark wore a rose-colored calf length gown with 3/4 length sleeves, her blonde hair swept into a high bun. The style is far from the usual elaborate hairstyle. Her fair light skin was carefully made up with peach lipstick and light brown eyeshadow, bringing out her blue eyes. Her Beast is cloaked.
Mr. Eddison Jake was a skinny, unobtrusive man who held his Beast Cloaked. He is African American, around 5'11'' with a closely cropped hairstyle. He has an unobtrusive air. You likely would look right past him, unless searching for him, specifically. He wears a grey off the rack suit with a violet pocket square. The tie is grey, not flashy. His Beast is cloaked.

Mariposa Sánchez is Mexican American and wears a midnight blue a line dress over her plus size figure. One might notice that the bracelet that she normally wears is absent. Ms. Sánchez accented her dark skin with shimmering gold eyeshadow that looked fetching. Her beast is Cloaked.
The three Kindred look about the room, likely checking for their elders.

Mr. Hoyle enters Court. Mr. Anthony Hoyle is a gentleman who is white - haired, respectable looking. His cufflink jewels suggest his clan is Ventrue. He is BP 4

The Nosferatu makes a slow walk around Elysium. A nod are given to Mr. Hoyle. Barely imperceptible acknowledgement to the coterie of Jake, Clarke and Sánchez. The dark haired woman then makes a slow turn as she takes in the room. No one else of note was present.

She did not need to check the time to know that some people were either running late or decided that Court was not a priority.

Jake and Clarke nod deeply to Mr. Hoyle. All three members of the coterie bow or curtsy to the Seneschal.

"I can escort you to the car for your meeting with the potential problem." Jake stated. "Would you like me to come with you?"

"No, I will be fine, Mr. Jake. Good evening, Seneschal Hazelton.

Good bye, Mr. Hoyle."
The blonde kindred bade. Mr. Jake and Ms. Clarke move to the coat check where Ms
Clarke gathered her items.
The two kindred moved outside of Elysium.

Had she considered skipping Court?

Yes.

But, here she was, walking into Court from her office. Being seen and seeing who else came to Elysia was important. Or so she’d been told.

Tonight, she wore a black pant suit of sorts. The pants were loose fitting as was the jacket. It was the top she wore under it that really made the suit. It was a sheer lace top. Ink peeked out here and there on her stomach and chest.

Cain, in all his one hundred and twenty-five pounds of muscle and hate, stood beside her. As she looks around the room, she feels the rage building in her Beast at the weakness around her.

Frowning at not seeing most of her Domain there, she shakes her head slightly.

Spotting Jennifer Hazelton , she offers a nod of respect and acknowledgement. Seems she could count on Jenn to be a constant.

"Your Grace." Jennifer lowered herself into a perfect cutsy. She remained for several beats to show her deep respect for the Alder Prince. As she rose, her eyes took in the room once more. Checking her first impression that no one of note except for the two highest ranking Court officials were present.

Jennifer gave the Alder Prince a wry look.

Jennifer chose to remain silent for a moment, deciding to hear what the Alder Prince would say.

The Lord made his way down from the nightclub area and past the coat check with nothing needing to be left there.

Seeing few notable kindred he scans to ensure he did not miss seeing the two chess competitors arrive. With his question answered he first bowed deeply to the Prince, holding it until noticed. Then came a shallower bow to the Seneschal, holding it just short of the prior.

"Perhaps our two competitors forgot about the chess match for the evening?" It was an emotionless question, but fell flat as a statement. Truth be told his tournament did not unfold as he had imagined, but it was nearly finished. It might be even sooner than he expected.

Mr. Hoyle walked closer to the trio, watching the three. Yet as responses had not yet been given to the Ventrue Priscus, he remains a bit of distance from the three. He looks around the room, looking for a conversation partner.
