(2306) Event: Fencing Qualifier

His Beast growls at him for showing such weakness before someone who doesn't even have a Beast, as far as it can tell, just prey. It was a greedy strike and he knows it. He had pressed what he saw was an advantage and it did not pay off. It might have cost him this bout but that remains to be seen. The Savage steps to the side as he dodges the Haunt's lunge, stepping back in hopes to stay out of her reach for her next strike, which if it connects will put her as the winner.

OOC: Turn spent dodging. Jennifer's up again. He is not dodging this next turn.

Jennifer studies her opponent for an instant. She did have some concerns for the next round. Jennifer made the choice to make a more reliable attack that could earn the point.

Raúl tries to deflect the strike but it connects, the Savage grunting slightly at the sensation and he gives a nod to Jennifer as he drops his blade. "Good game." he says, admitting his defeat on this task.

The match was won. The decision to play it safe carried the match for her.
Jennifer gave Raul a nod.
"Good match." She states, sincere.

[Jennifer Hazelton]

"That was quite well done, Mr. Dominquez. You nearly had me." Jennifer stated to her fencing partner. Her tone was sincere.
"I believe that there was another competitor who wished to compete." Jennifer looked to Priscus Jack. Jacque Killian

[Raul]

The Savage nods to Jennifer. "Thank you, I tried something a bit greedy and it failed me. It's better to learn this lesson now, then later, when my opponent won't be so gracious." he says, slipping the pin off and setting the blunted foil back with the others. He gives the Seneschal another bow before stepping out of the fencing area, leaving her to find her next opponent perhaps.

"A good match indeed," the Lord responded with a light clap of his hands. "The next match will begin immediately."
