The grappling hold that she had started with had proved improper.
If Raul was in a position to start the grapple, I could learn how to grapple more effectively. He's certainly skilled.
Jennifer chooses to hold her action.

Raúl watches his adversary as she goes through her options. After a few seconds, he realizes she's hesitating, unsure, and he steps in, trying to use that hesitation against her as he reaches for her right arm, trying to get a grip what he thinks is her dominant arm.

Then Jennifer executes the plan.
Take Raul down and hopefully, she can grab her key while he's reacting.
Jennifer executes a take down that would result in both competitors becoming prone.

Raúl wasn't truly surprised to find himself succumbing to gravity in a very fast manner. He tries to shift himself, to roll slightly with it to lessen the impact as both Kindred fall prone. He relaxes himself at just the right moment so that it doesn't hurt as much and then he moves to quickly try to twist an arm and a leg over Jennifer's frame, trying to immobilize her beside/beneath him.

In order for Raul to gain any points, he would need for the both Jennifer and himself to regain their footing so that he could execute taking her prone. Jennifer turned her head to determine where her key was. Jennifer took amoment to study how Raul had her restrained. Determining the best course of action, she freed herself from his grip and broke free.

Raúl had hoped to keep her immobilized longer but then again, the Haunts were known for their strength. As she breaks free from his grip, he moves to stand up, watching her to see what and where she goes.

Finding the key that was taken from her, she plucks it from the ground. Jennifer transferred it to her left hand. Jennifer closed her fist around the key. Would it be enough to keep from having it taken again? Time would tell.

He watches her, shifting to follow her as she moves to grab for the key again. He then moves to grab at her again, making a grab for Jennifer's arm holding the key.

Then she lowered her body and center of gravity. She moved her arm that he was grasping up, manuevering in his grip. Jennifer's other arm came in to attempt to take his key.

Raúl instinctively grabbed tighter onto the 'key' as Jennifer attempted to remove it. It's basically something he's been trained in for years, keeping his weapon in his hand, away from assailants. He quickly shakes off her attempt before attempting the same against her, trying to grab and twist that 'key' she holds free.
