Forten's Illusion: Rapture

Conner resists the urge to sigh out of relief; a reflex newly-enabled thanks to his stolen blood. So far the bouncer hasn't seen him yet, and the crew appears to be moving in a more concerted fashion now. Edward is accompanying Jennifer, who appears to be concentrating on something. Perhaps some kind of special sight? While Albert appears to have taken his hint and is tailing him. It looks as if the consensus is observation at the moment. And so Conner takes a look at the VIP guard and commits to the predatory art of waiting and watching for an opening. Some distraction. Some weakness to exploit that could get the crew up into the VIP lounge.

The VIP guard remains stationary. There is not a moment that he moves to allow access to the small staircase up to the VIP area. What do you do? Conner Wells Albert Baker

As Jennifer has spoken in the last moment, two passing bar patrons turn back and do a double take as they walk by. Jennifer is focused on the VIP guard. Her special attention is noticeable. Yet she notes his aura is a spackle of dark blue. There is a quicksilver splotch of dark green that fades as she watches. Yet as she focused, she notes a myriad of sparkles over the guard's aura.
Edward looks around the area and spots the man that he has done research on sitting up above in the VIP area. The way is blocked by the guard stationing himself by the small staircase that grants access to the VIP area. The man Edward is curious about is speaking to a man in generic, cheap street clothes.

Jennifer steps away from the guard. She processed what the Gift had shown her in silence for a moment. Jennifer looks to Edward.
"I don't think that we can get in the section. He seems very suspicious." She speaks quietly.

Jennifer looks over the people socializing and dancing. A needle in a haystack on if anyone would be someone worthwhile to talk to. Her eyes tick towards the bar. Bothering someone while they were working might not be the best idea to get a favorable rapport going.
Her favorite trick- money. People were always overwhelmed and underpaid at work.

"I'm thinking an employee." She explained quietly to Edward. The table service employees could be a good decision.

Jennifer glanced towards the table and then towards Edward.

"Leave it to me." Edward replied in the same quiet tone. "Enjoy your night."

There was groundwork to lay. The first order of buisness would be to target a specific employee. Someone bored who, in the face of overwork, isn't destroying themselves to keep up. A veteran who hasn't climbed the ladder.

The second order of buissness was to make nice, not desperate, but friendly, and leave a generous — but not bribe generous — tip. Lead them to belive the tip was a gesture of appreciation for good conversation.
