Olivia eyed up Corn and Witch for a few moments. Contemplating their presence like she was thinking about the next move, the only question was if she moved a pawn or a rook. "I am sorry Morgan. Currently Chess Club is on Hiatus, but if you send an email as soon as it resumes I can drop you an email or give you a call." She paused for a second "Unless there was something else?" she raised an eyebrow in anticipation.

Witch pauses and then leans in as though confiding in Olivia, ”Actually…” Her voice is hesitant, seeking confirmation from the one person there who seemed least capable of giving it. But one of the things about humans was that if given a bit of power or control, they tended to grab it. And then try for more. Especially if they were feeling a bit vulnerable. And right now- that is exactly what Olivia was looking like.
”I’m a member of the Sierra College chess club… I was hoping you could tell me … I don’t know … any details? Just so like … we can be prepared you know? I don’t wanna be paranoid but …” She bit at her lower lip and gave a small shrug, waiting to see if the play would work.

If it is too late now, then at least perhaps Corn could stop Olivia from worrying about them. Note: I make my post with Corn not knowing if the act worked or not

Striking LooksOlivia seemed to consider the pair for longer than the usual half a second people took. "I am sorry, I can't help you" and with that door clicked closed. Seconds passed, and just as Corn and Witch were about to turn away they heard the scrabbling of security chains from the other side of the door. The door opened, Olivia looked apologetically at them both. "Listen, this is against my better judgement and I am not saying I will be able to help you...." she moved aside to allow Corn and Witch into her room. "I don't think talking through a crack in a door with you two in the hallway is the best place to talk."

YLF - Grim SightA huff of breath. Well. She had told Corn that she wasn't exactly good at the social thing.
As the rattle of chain and creak of door announced a change even before Olivia spoke, it wasn't relief though that flashed through her. It was suspicious doubt. Keeping it from her face though, she instead pushed forth what she hoped was a convincing relieved smile.
"No-probably not," agreement as she accepted the invite and stepped inside.
