(2206) First Bout

[Circe]

The ring is nothing special. No cages, ladders, rock walls, or looking like something out of American Gladiators. It is a basic ring with bouncy bungie ropes and hefty padding on the corners facing inwards. Circe didn't go all out for a possible one time thing, or not all out by her standards.


Circe hefts herself into the ring, hat held down on her head, and heads for the blue corner. Putting her hat on the blue corner post with a bow, Circe next theatrically spins on one foot to face the other side of the ring wand Sonja Wu, "Alright, my bouncy bash buddy , you ready to face the Macho Woman, the cream of the crop, the vocally over the top?! And mostly, are you ready to ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuumble?!!!"

Sonnie perches on the turnbuckle opposing Circe, cracking her knuckles while grinning ear to ear.

"So, how do you want it? Sharpshooter? Tombstone Piledriver? One-Winged Angel?" Yeah, the Beast is into pro wrestling. She knows her stuff. "Let's find out!"

[Circe]

Unlike Sonja, Circe is NOT into modern pro-wrestling. "Imma just go with a fun one," is her blithe response, "No apoc-o-fist, no keel-haul, no chair-mania. Maybe a noogie or two, just for you, oh ho ho ho!"


Then takes the old-timey boxer stance and adds in a lot of ham, "And no Queensberry rules. This is America Sister! I shall baste your turkey, and it shall be delicious! For I am the Macho Woman, king of the ring and empress at the stove!"

After a moment, she looks to the crowd, "Oi! Ring the bell!"

Hopping off the turnbuckle, Sonnie waved at the crowd(?) before looking to Macho Circe expectantly.

"Well, better than being Hogan, I guess. LET'S GO!!"

Circe believed herself a better soldier and killer than Sonja Wu. Better pugilist? Oh, Hell the fuck no. Monkey was getting the belt at this rate. The only chance Circe had was to go all out at the start. If it didn't work, she'd lose.


Also, it was the summer thing to do. But the wreslter thing to do? Pokemon style! "Maaaacho punch!"

Not a bad punch. Had the Summer Queen been training? Sonnie could see a proper form in there. She'd been under the impression the Iron Spear was all shooty-shooty and no punchy-punchy. It still failed to land as she sidestepped the blue elf, however.

Truth was, she wasn't a trained wrestler, herself. Kung fu, no prob, but actual pro wrestling moves could be dangerous if performed by a newb. She wasn't about to DDT Circe and risk breaking her neck. So, Sonnie stuck with what she knew and countered by sending the toe of her boot towards Circe's midsection. "Monkey kick!"
