The First Talon frowned as the familiar pressure on her mind swirled around, failing to get a grip on the Obimos' thoughts. "Please get the lights," she said to Zeromancer as she moved. "They should be by the door."
Stepping forwards down the stairs she pulled herself smoothly up onto the stage and looked towards the tree. Drawing her knife, Phoenyx tried to get a closer look.

Maybe it was the mediocre play, but Puck memorized the layout of the place well enough to decently navigate around the place and find a fire extinguisher beneath a small green emergency light. He got it off its bracket and it felt heavy and new in his hands. Recent repairs might have given the tools a make-over, or the standards for safety were just higher than the artistic ones. While busying himself with not tripping and carrying the extinguisher around it was a small blessing that there was nothing fondling around his neck or spine. The thing might have withdrawn, or it was preparing for another assault.
Zeromancer was not only metaphorically in the dark - there was literal darkness making him all but useless while the other two jumped into action. He just stumbled around and almost tripped over a set of chairs while looking for a switch. Did theatres even have light switches at the place normal rooms have them? Phoenyx said they had to be by the door, so the Moros kept stumbling in that general direction.
Meanwhile, the Arrow shrugged off the attempts to slow her down and closed in on the tree. It was the same tree that graced the stage back then, albeit melded together on a few places and bent out of shape due to its fall at a few others. It was screwed into the floor, sturdy and new wooden planks, and there was no immediate sign of the Intruder. If Puck was right they'd have to get beneath the tree somehow.
Zeromancer the -3 penalty still applies - Phoenyx and Puck just possess a Merit that lets them ignore penalties in Perception up to a degree.
Check that off the shopping list.
As Puck began lugging the fire extinguisher back to the tree something hit him. Or rather it stopped hitting him. The spirit wasn't using it's numina. Which would be a good thing if it weren't for Puck's concern about what else it could be doing. Was it still under the tree? Was it still in the area of cold? It foils the plan if the thing moves to far from it's anchor. Okay, 'plan', but still.
"Shit shit shit."
The enchanter mumbles as he finds his way back to the tree. He gives it a once over to see if the spirit is still there or where it could have scurried off too. He gives the extinguisher a spray just to make sure it works before looking more closely at where to find the thing.

stats and clarification
Zeromancer is going to continue to look for the light switch, as it should be easier once the lights are on. Remembering his headlamp he pulls it out and turns on the light and places it on his head.

Still no sign of the creature - at least not to her eyes.
If Puck was right and it was under the tree, then the next step was getting beneath the stage. Though having never tread the boards herself, Phoenyx had seen a few shows at this point and she recalled that some stages were hollow beneath, for special effects. She couldn't remember seeing them in the particular show that started all this, but it was a possibility. Looking around for a trap door or stairs below, Phoenyx began moving about the stage, tapping her foot to listen for a more hollow-sounding section.
She avoided turning her back on the tree... just in case.

Zero turned on his headlamp to navigate the unknown room. At least that way he wasn't stumbling over anything as he made his way to the doors the audience would be using normally. In the small ray of light he realized why it had been so difficult to find the switches - they were covered with a loosely hanging black curtain that hung all around. He flipped them on and after the lights flickered to life the auditorium was now cast in a sterile white brightness.
The Moros saw what the others already knew: around 50 metal folding chairs, a sound- and light-mixing board and most importantly: the brand new wooden floor of a stage housing a metal park bench and a tree made out of metal scraps, bolts, and trash melded together.
Meanwhile, the Acanthus brought over the fire extinguisher to further freeze the Entity out. The tentative attempt to use it was successful: withe froth shot out of the nozzle and onto the stage, landing near the tree and doing its job. And Puck also did his part to keep the thing emotionally invested by cursing under his breath. Maybe that was part of his plan, maybe it was a lucky coincidence - either way with the lights now turned on he could see those multi-jointed, impossibly long fingers poking out lazily from the various nooks and crannies of the sculpture again. They looked agitated, although the cold temperatures caused by Phoenyx seemed to slow them down quite a bit.
Said Obrimos searched the floor for a way beneath the stage - to no avail. The space beneath the wooden boards was only around 10 inches wide, so there was hardly any room for special effects. If the thing was indeed beneath the floor they'd probably had to break it somehow. The tree itself had a circular metal stand which was bolted to the ground to keep it in place.
As she tried to keep her eyes on the tree she could see the same kind of Resonance-tendrils move around the tree she had seen the day they watched the performance. And there was more: ever so faintly, like tricks of the light, she thought she could make out fingers in those tendrils. Did that mean that they were making progress or was the Intruder up to something?
Suddenly, the Unseen Senses of the Mages went off again and those who had their Mage Sight up could see a lashing movement. There was a scratching sensation moving quickly all over their bodies again.
Everyone, give me a (Composure + Gnosis - 1) roll again.
Failing the roll makes you lose a point of Willpower and take 1L. Repeated failures make your character feel more and more apathetic and calloused.
Puck if you want to douse the tree with the extinguisher another roll like the one you made before would suffice since it's a pretty large target.
"Fuck, okay."
Puck's still mumbling. It's totally part of the show and not someone who ignored fire safety for thirty years trying to figure out how a fire extinguisher works. It'd probably help if he wasn't so out of shape? Turns out being lucky for two years straight let certain things fall through the cracks. Not everyone can be Apollo or Kaze after all. Or maybe not everyone wanted to put the effort into being Apollo or Kaze? Nah, it's definitely an innate thing.
Either way Puck continues to spray the fire extinguisher. Recognizing he might not be the best mage for the job he plucks at his watchtower, peaking into the future to see how best to utilize the equipment he had at hand. It worked, though whether Puck had the ability to utilize his insight was a more complicated answer to find.

After getting the light on, Zero now noticed what they were working with. Well he was here, helping out fellow mages to attack something. He wondered something, they were waiting for the spirit to manifest itself. And it seemed to use emotional energy to do so. in this moment he decides he should cast a spell into the twilight.

And just like that his spell fails. He is not sure what happened but he is not happy with the result.

So much for that idea. The Stage had no hollow sounds - looked like it was just wood atop raised concrete.
However, between the light and the smog of the fire extinguisher, something seemed to be happening. Tendrils, like wisps of translucent shadow. Then, one of them seemed to lash out like a whip.

There was a flicker of a grimace as she felt the tough again, like nails dragging across her soul.
"There."
The Arrow smiled, though it lacked mirth; she began to chant her spell and advance on the tree where the creature was hiding. Abyssal creatures required abyssal-countering solutions. The Arrow had selected a couple in her arsenal in advance, and while blowing everything to hell was still an option, something more discrete (and less messy) like enchanting her knife was still her first choice.
