Dark eyes close briefly. Mables words just hit her…wrong. Just another instance where someone was using her as an excuse. Though, to be frank, she had gotten used to it.

But the talking had gone on long enough. Things had been said that didn’t need to be said. And the Savage simply looks to Twist.

Dark eyes meet Mable's as she looked back. Dark eyes in a face as still as Death.


For a mortal's heartbeat, Twist met and held Mable's gaze.


And then smoothly, Twist clasped the manacles around Mable's wrists. The hard cold sound of metal locking her into place.


As Mable turned to talk to Ale, Twist replaced the stepstool under the table and stood looking at the array of implements on the table. Or at least, that is what it looked like. In truth she stared through past the blades, and the cloth, and the wood, and the floor. She stared into nothing.


Finally, taking a breath she didn't need, she blinked and reached out, her fingers curling around a single item on the table. A single item that had been laid toward the back. An item brought because one needed to be ready.


Returning to stand behind Mable, she glanced past the strung-up Kindred to Ale and Jacque and then turned to focus on Mable.


Her voice was soft but clear as she spoke.


"The punishment was not for forgetting titles Mable. It was for not respecting the Seneschal. The Prince. The domain."


And then carefully placing the tip of the wooden stake against Mables back, Twist called upon her blood and shoved it into place.


Then stepping back and to the side, she looked to Ale. To Sacramento's Prince.


This had not been the plan. Not in the slightest. But Mable's words had made it clear that she did not understand. And the Hound could not let that stand. Mable's teacher could not let that stand. Twist could not let that stand.


She wondered if it was finally time for her to join them.

Closing out this scene. Fallout from Twist's actions can come into play in a follow up scene/glimpses.


Using MAC level 2, Twist ignores 1 point of armor protection should Mable have it.
I goofed my rolls due to combo of computer glitch/not double-checking house rules vs book. My penalty should only be -3, not -4 therefore:
