Presence
A letter arrives at Mr. Jacob's apartment, dropped off by a figure wearing a thick trenchcoat in the dark of night. The envelope has no return address, just the arrival address and the recipients' name. Where there would be a return address, there is instead a copy of the writing in red graffiti found on the walls of the Babylon bar: I saw the proof of my power over the mortal sheep; I kept the hungry wolves in the burning cauldron of my heart. And the mixture is a miracle, and has raised the predator over prey.
Inside the envelope, the letter itself is written in red ink on pale stock.
To Mr Jacobs,
I understand that you have undergone a great change, and are now a member of the Kindred. I represent the Lancea Sanctum: the foremost faith of our kind, and I would like to offer you help. This new life you have entered has many perils, and you will need allies. Meet me at [place; Conner's Haven] [date/time] and I will make sure you are treated with the respect and care our faith offers. As a gesture of good faith, I will also offer you sustenance through one of the Dark Miracles of our order: a Reliquary. For one night at least, your hunt will be easy.
