Milton comes to a stop with Quinn and Jacque. While the former climbs and the latter investigates the small square, Milton turns his eyes back the way they came. Indeed, all of his heightened senses are turned in that direction.
Of course, Connor would be there, but is anything else amiss? What, for instance, was that sound from above?

The haunt progresses down the hallway, willing his blood to strengthen his sight, and looking behind the group regularly. He had deliberately let everyone else go ahead of him to ensure that anything wanting to do harm would have to go through him first.
The darkness is enveloping, but hopefully his heightened sight will allow him to pierce through it if he needs to.

Quinn grasped the offered handhold to lean all the way over to take a closer inspection up top here. She followed the lines with her fingers, and looking at the smooth grey rock that jutted out, Quinn tried to pull it like a handle. Her curiosity burning her to the core as she tried to use the rock like a lever. It was definitely a 'let's see what happens?' moment.
She glanced down at Jack as he inspected the other mystery area at the end of the shaft at floor level. She slipped out one more stick and dropped it for Jack, so he had some extra light down there.

Jack tugs on the opening. There is a bit of resistance, the passing of time has caused some dirt to accumulate. Another tug, and the hinged door comes open. Looking inside, there is a man's leather bag, the sort one could easily sling over a shoulder and carry about town. There are two outer pockets. The main bag is held closed by two well-made leather straps, linked through two rings.
The outer pocket has a wax paper envelope, folded and sealed shut with sealing wax at the seams. This created a small waterproof packet. Feeling it with fingers reveals an envelope with a few pieces of paper within. A small string has been caught with the sealing wax of the envelope, tying the envelope to the leather strap holding the main bag closed. Care was clearly taken to keep the items altogether, that it cannot be jostled when hustling about. Yet easily tugged free when it is needed.
The bag is relatively clean from being secured in the hatch, although the leather clearly needs tending. Has the bag been waiting here for decades?
Milton looks back just in time to see a small flashlight descend from the hidden hatch where Milton and the others descended to find Pope's hiding place. The flashlight is dropped lightly to the ground.
Milton and Connor can see two hands, clothed in black leather, grip the side of the opening. A moment later, a man's head peers down into the opening, turning this way and that.
It was not Holden. It is an attractive Asian man, with well-groomed hair styled short. Milton and Connor hear a man's voice, which could be Holden, stating "What do you see?"
Quinn investigates the wall. She finds a small recessed finger grip and pulls it out. She can feel something within the wall shift, and a stone block moves about an inch into the wall. Pressing the stone wall causes the wall to begin to move on its own, clearly some mechanism in the opening. Within a moment, there is an opening for everyone to crawl through the wall. The wall is the width of the average man’s shoulders.
Looking forward reveals inky blackness beyond the opening. Clearly more light is needed to see the other side of the opening.
Yet there is the issue of hauling the body bag up the ladder and shoving or pulling it through a shoulder size opening.

Jack took a look over the satchel, noting the feel and implied contents. He slipped it and the extra glowstick from Quinn into his duffel with consideration of the wear on the leather, then eyed upwards at the now open exit. This would be a pain in the ass... if they were mortal and if the prize wasn't secured in a body bag.
He signaled for a team lift, asking Milton and/or Connor to push from the bottom as the Lord ascends the ladder. He first stuffed his duffel through the opening to Quinn and begins to pull the top of the bag upwards to put it in position for the Shadow to leverage and navigate through the opening as effectively as they can.

The flashlight drops, the man's head appears. A voice sounds in the darkness. Could that voice belong to Holden?
Milton nudges Jacque, tries to indicate their newly arrived company, but the Seneschal is absorbed in the task at hand. If he's able to, he will alert his fellow Lord. Either way, he will continue to assist with the body bag, leaving it to Connor to run interference should there be trouble. That's more the Haunt's speed anyway.

The Haunt took the cue from Jack, his eyes dart to the entrance of the tunnel again before moving to assist Milton in lifting the body bag up as high as he can.
There isn't much he can do from the bottom of the ladder, but he's at least going to get his companions out before standing his ground.

Quinn heard the interloper and stiffened slightly, but this only spurred her on to work more quickly, helping Jack lift the body bag up into the shaft. After that was complete she whispered to the others.
"Trash the ladder when you come up, and lets get the fuck outta here." She suggested, before pulling herself up and scrambling over Pope's body to pull him back from the front of the entrance for Jack, Milton, and Connor as they were bigger than she was, and wouldn't fit otherwise. She augmented her strength to do so, pulling Pope further away from the opening, as much and as far as her juiced body would allow. Tapping into her precious vitae stores to have the strength to pull him through to hopefully the exit of this dreadful cemetery.

Milton concentrates on his past interaction with the Invictus soldier and decides that this is Holden directing the man through the shaft. Quinn notices the man bends to pick up the flashlight and begins to move forward towards you. At his pace, he should reach you in just under ten minutes.He signaled for a team lift, asking Milton and/or Connor to push from the bottom as the Lord ascends the ladder. Once through the opening, the first impression is one of darkness and neglect. You are within the interior of a Mausoleum. Dust begins to swirl about you as you move into the building. The building is intact. There are two main windows of this building that could signal to any watchers outside, if you use light. There is one door out of the building. Milton has already deduced that they would exit into the Hillside Mausoleums. Others can attempt to determine their whereabouts.
You have your prize. Someone is close on your trail and you are unsure of their intentions. Somewhere, the box that belongs to Pope awaits you, under cover of your occult Gift. Surely no one has pierced that cover in this time. Your unexpected ally has dispatched his ghouls around the cemetery, no doubt collecting information. What do you do?
