More of the shadows leave from Frances' quivering form, and she begins coughing as the darkness leaves her throat.

It continues to flow around Sonnie like the rules of gravity and physics mean nothing to it, charging after the fleeing Spring.

There was, in fact, some resistance. Her staff was making contact with something. Not like punching smoke, no. It was more like... punching gossamer?

Maybe Sonnie just needed to hit harder? Yeah, let's try that.

The staff strikes, and again, Sonnie feels less like she's shattering a rib cage and more like she's sounding a swamp.

The darkness envolopes Sonnie's staff, flowing up and then around the Beastwoman, and then sliding past her through the doorway, a long whip of darkness slicing Titania.

This is getting unreal.
She digs one of her fingers inside her sliced arm pulling out a shiny crystal-like formation. It gushes out like a river of rainbow blood. Behold, a giant globe of crystal begins floating in the air, flooding the room with its searing light.

Defense, took 2 Lethal, bringing her total at 3L. She will use the Bright One's Goblin Illumination

This sucked.

Sonnie was wholly ineffective at being a Claviger. She couldn't even really hurt this thing, and Titania was getting sliced to ribbons. The additional fact that the demon was basically just ignoring the Beast was just insulting.

The creature slithered around her, and Sonnie involuntarily shuddered. Ew Ew EW!

How do I stop it? How do you hurt a shad-

Then came the illumination from behind her.

Guess Starlight had the same idea.

Without looking directly into the fae light, because she's not that dumb, Sonnie moved to the nearest light switch or lamp and flipped it to the on position.

The Bright One Explodes in light, and the darkness hisses back for a moment, before charging forward. Her light pierces through it in hundreds of places, but it doesn't seem badly bothered by it, though its strikes are badly off-target.

When the house lights turn on, Sonnie can see the darkness still hold a tendril around the throat of the coughing Frances, but the rest of her body is now free of it.
