The scream is in fact, truly in human. It’s some kind of animal. You aren’t sure what, just that the scream definitely did not come from a human throat.

After a minute, there's another strangled cry. Plaintive and high pitched. Wild.

[Mable Wood]

Mable opens her bag and hands Conner an aerosol can of hair spray and a lighter. "If you need to use this. The gazebo is all wood set that on fire if necessary. The back patio is stone and has a shower and the hose is next to the horse stalls. Stay safe."

"Anyone else need a hairspray and lighter? We can set my grove on fire if we need to. It will grow back." Drastic? Maybe. Desperate you bet. She didn't think about if anyone had issues with fire, she just knew it was the best way to defeat other vampires if they weren't expecting it or if they could turn to mist. It was always a good line of defense and one she was always prepared for.

"Ok. Dirt Nap, do you want to go by air? I think I have to lead Edward in by foot." Her eyes shift to him. "Or you could ride on my back." As she is talking to them she is leading them to the field behind the flower path.

"Do we know who or what we are dealing with?" she hadn't gotten details yet about the attack. Whoever they were she kill them or die trying. Who the fuck were they to come to her land and desiccate it.

[Dirt Nap]

Dirt Nap listens, and doesn't flinch at the screams. He nods at the conclusion and action taken by Mable and Edward, and shakes his head slightly at Connor OBrien.

"Mister OBrien, there's a saying 'bout fights, the winner tends to be the one who gets to the fight the fastest with the mostest. We're late to the party and liable outnumbered. We got to bring everyone we can, not divide up our forces even further. Come along."

With that, Dirt Nap hurries to catch up to Mable and Edward, his rifle in hand.

[Connor OBrien]

The Haunt stows the Hairspray and lighter in one of his coat pockets, then shrugs at Dirt Nap's outward expression toward him. "I had simply thought we were going up against raiders," he starts as he begins heading off with the others at Dirt Nap's suggestion. "Their intel can be right sometimes, after all."​ He finishes as he draws his knife.

After that, he keeps his mouth shut as he follows the others, hoping the Archon will be able to hear the noise to guide her to the fight.

Edward waved off the offer of hair spray.

"Enemy Kindred, a group and by all appearances highly combat capable. They share the Mekhet's weakness." Not that Edward knew what that was, but he could parrot it all the same. "Two among them are especially dangerous, Geir and Erle. Beyond that, Dirt Nap or Mr. O'Brien will be far better equipped to tell you more, much of the occult discussion was beyond me."

He was glad for Dirt Nap's words, agreeing fully with the message. This didn't seem the type of fight they could get through without all hands on deck. In an act of seeming synchronicity, Edward's phone buzzed. He fired off a quick reply.

[Milton]

Upon their final approach to the farm, Milton cuts his headlights. Parks beside the vehicles of those of their comrades who have already arrived, kills the engine. His vision is still heightened, so the sudden darkness does not bother him. He wills his other senses to an equally supernatural pitch in preperation.

The only light in the car is from his cell phone, which currently displays his Maps app, the location indicated by Edward in his last text clearly displayed.

"Pardon my reach," Milton says to Jennifer, stretching over to open the glove box and extract the .40 S&W Autoloader loaned to him by Connor. A quick check to ensure the safety is on and that the clip is full and then he tucks the gun into the pocket of his suit jacket. He pauses a moment to guarantee that the weapon will remain hidden until he chooses to produce it. He's rusty with shadow-work, but eventually manages to pull it off.

That done, he looks over at Jennifer, "Mr. Heinrich was kind enough to provide their current location," he nods down at his phone. "Shall we, Lady Notary Hazelton?" There's something comforting in addressing her by the formal title in this moment. It makes the very acute danger lurking in the darkness outside seem somehow less than real.

Jennifer gives a small nod to Milton as he reaches over to secure the firearm. She's glad to see it. The excercise with the Poacher proved that Kindred without combat skills could rise to the occasion when duty called, if need be. Jennifer suspected that there would be a need. The Nosferatu finished her call with the Seneschal and secured her backpack. Liam exited the vehicle and opened the passenger door for his regnant. The ghoul reached into his suit and withdrew a Bowie knife, wielding it in his right hand.


The Invictus lady takes a minute to look at her companion. Taking in his proper language and manners, she notes approvingly. The Nosferatu exits the vehicle, small leather backpack on her back. Never know what may be needed.
"Let us asist our allies, Mr. Northbridge." Jennifer replies to Mr. Northbridge in a firm voice, giving the Ventrue an encouraging look.
Hearing this, Liam leads the way towards the action with Jennifer following quickly behind him.

"Mekhet weakness?" Mable thinks about the various weaknesses. "Fire? Is that just more of an issue then it is for most of us?"

Mable can feel her beast pushing hard to be released....blood. we will get the blood. beasts whispers are getting stronger. She keeps it caged but allows it to drive her.

In that case she may have to burn down the alter and sacred ground. She's not afraid of rebuilding. She secures her ear bud connected to her phone into her right ear. Checks to make sure her ringer and all tones and lights are off on her iwatch.
