Corn's Bachelor Party - Mage side

[Phoenyx]

The coercing had been real. The trade-off had been the Arrow had insisted they stop off for one drink before arriving to "relax". She was trying out a totally new look, and even though she would never admit it, Aurora could tell she was a little nervous.

Of course, that didn't change how much of a featherweight the Arrow was.

"I've never been to a bachelor party," she replied conspiratorially as they pulled up. "I've only seen them in movies. Do you think our dresses are short enough?" she giggles. "I do like attention though. Like Conner! He wasn't really my type but he said very nice things. The other Connor looked like he worked out a lot. And an accent."

There it was. Zero filter, even worse than usual.

She had to move a little quicker to keep pace with Aurora's long legs, but arrives at the bar with her. Ordering a sex on the beach she follows the wave, joining in. "There they are. Hiii!"

[Eulogy]

As the party crew moved inside, Mordechai excused himself to the washroom. He was gone a few minutes and on his way back to the group he ran into a couple of familiar face.

He stopped beside Aurora and Phoenyx, face beaming with a happy smile. As he took in both woman. His cheeks flushed and he glanced down at his feet. "Ah, Hi. You both uh, look great. he cleared his throat before continuing. "it's ah, nice to see you."

[Kaze]

Kaze smiles as his friends seem to be happy and bonding. It's pretty cool, having a friend who's actually getting married!

"Oh, wow. Yeah, she's awesome. Really smart. Some kind of academic, but I don't really know the details. You know, if' I'm not giving them, I can't ask for them either." Kaze answers.

"Hey!" Kaze waves at Phoenyx and Aurora! "Over here! I was just about to order a whiskey neat; what do you guys want?" He asks. "I'll get it for you."

[Crystal]

Crystal was really thankful for Guru being here - as tempting as the Shaman's story of crashing parties and getting wasted was, Korn opted to make this an opportunity to talk fondly of their lovely relationships and even pull in Kaze into the discussion. He was happy for the two and their partners, but.. yeah, just wasn't his thing. Luckily he had a cocktail to keep him company. "So we're good enough for the people Maria rejected?" His big grin showed that he was just messing a bit with Corn - but he was interested how that logic played out anyway.

Kaze's shouting made the Warlock look around. So Aurora was still around, huh. He was surprised, but pleasantly so. "Madison, Alice! C'mon there's room for everyone!" It was nice of them to also show up - now almost the whole Awakened population of Sacramento was present. Or at least the part of it that mattered.

[Corn]

Corn was very pleased to see Aurora and Phoenyx in here. He welcomed them with a big smile, standing up so they could sit comfortably.
"Welcome ladies! Madison, stunning as always. Alice, I see you in a new light and it is a great sight indeed. Please take a seat. "

When Kaze mentioned not asking for details because it could lead to being asked details, he gave a nod with a serious expression. "That's smart. My soon-to-be wife knows enough about my career... to not ask for more details. I give her the boring parts of my work in the bookstore or the universities. She does give me details about the interesting parts of her work-life though. Here, I will show you." He said and flipped on his phone, showing to the group pics of Maria (a comelybrunette woman with a few pounds extra around the hips and a 'nice housewife' look) in various places around the state of California as well as in New York. Apparently, he was not very well aware of how Bachelor parties are not about showing pics of your fiancé that few would find interesting.

When Crystal made his joke Corn turned to him with a bit of confusion. "I ... don't get that joke." he said with lament and then shrugged. He didn't take offense.

[Guru]

"She probably thinks it's bad luck." He gave a short nod, he got it, lots of people had odd superstitions. "Hey, do you know why it's bad luck to walk under a ladder?" His thoughts said out loud mostly to the group as a whole because judging by the look on his face he was coming up empty. Happy Corn turned the conversation back to Kaze as he reached for a drink that hadn't arrived yet with a frown. "Ohhhh, now, now, how is that going? You feeling those marriage vibes too?" He couldn't help but smirk and pass a glance to Crystal.


Then the drinks came and with it it seemed to bring in Aurora and...Phoenyx? Holy shit. Yea, and she can still knock out your teeth. He raised his hand giving an exuberant wave over as he snagged a fry and popped it into his mouth. "Ouch. Hot, hot, hot." He inhaled deeply, bringing up his drink to cool it off. Shrugging at Crystal as the joke seemed to fly above Corn's head. He couldn't help but smile and look at Aurora, ok, maybe he wasn't entirely immune to it either. "So what's your favorite neurotransmitter and why is it Oxytocin?" He couldn't help but laugh at his own joke.

[Aurora]

Leaning in, “They aren’t like what you see in movies. I’ve worked a few.” Yeah, she did and she wasn’t ashamed. “I think you look great and our dresses are perfect!” there was a chuckle, “Does that mean you plan on calling him?” it was weird how some women just had a thing for accents. She never really got it. But hell, whatever.

Was he…blushing? Why would he be blushing?

“Thank you! And it’s good to see you too, seems like forever since we last talked! How’ve you been?” sipping her greenish colored drink.

A wave was returned to Kaze, “Hey!” making her way over, making sure Phoneyx was in tow. Holding the drink up, “Already grabbed one, but what if you get the next one?” she offers.

Looking to Corn, the man of the hour, she raises her glass to him, “Congratulations are in order!”

Then another wave to Guru with a chuckle, “Should always gently blow on it first.” She teases as she sits down.

[Phoenyx]

"I dunno! Maybe?" The Arrow shrugs at Aurora's question. "Relationships are complicated. I don't want one. But maybe he can make himself useful for an hour. Maybe more." She smirks a little.

Much like Aurora was confused, she cocked her head at Eulogy's reaction. "Is something wrong?" She asks brightly, sucking the cocktail from the straw.

She wave the glass at Kaze with a smile. "I'm good! Thanks!" she says, returning Crystal's greeting and perching on a stool next to him.

"Soooo.... Yeah, Congratulations?" She says to Corn, a little uncertainly. "I hope you know what you're doing. It sounds like a lot, knowing you will love someone forever. How do you know that kind of thing? I never really thought about it, with my job and everything." She adds thoughtfully, sucking on the straw again. The Arrow offering blunt thoughts without any kind of filter.

"Hey Josh!" Phoenyx waves at his surprise. "You Okay? Mordechai had a same kind of reaction. It's still me! Oooh! fires!" she reaches over and steals one, blowing and munching it down. She pushes the basket towards Aurora.

[Eulogy]

Mordechai listened to the snippets of yhe conversations he had missed without comment. Apperarently somekne told a joke and Corn didn't get it. "Damn I like jokes. Ah well next time he thought.

To Aurora he replied, "Yes indeed. It has, um been a while. I am doing well." Why are you being so awkward? You know how to form sentences. Quit acting like a teenager at prom. he chided himself. He took a deep breath to steady his nerves and continued in a more casual tone. "I am in a great mood actually. Happy to be here. Have you been up to anythibg interesting?"

When Phoenyx questioned Mordechai his cheeks tinted red again. He coughed on his beverage and sputtered a reply. "um..um.um. no..um I am ok." see you are making an ass of yourself, knock it off. Just, be cool

And then Phoenyx made the comment to Josh and Mordechai flared crimson fire to the brim of his fedora. "If you will excuse me?" he said to the women and retreated a distance away in shame.

[Kaze]

Kaze smiles, and says, "We're taking it slow, just seeing where it goes." to Guru when he asks maybe half teasingly if Kaze is planning a wedding of his own.

"Okay. Next one's on me." Kaze says to Aurora agreeably, grinning.

"Oh hey." Kaze says quietly as Eulogy retreats.

He gives Eulogy some time to get some distance, and then says to Corn, "Be back in a minute." and heads after Eulogy at a casual walk.

When he catches up to him, Kaze says, "Hey, you okay? The flirting thing is rough, huh?" He asks sympathetically.
