The smoke and fire make the Arrow's next task clear. She could make it nearly to the door, pulling her Magical tool from her bag, and only had a moment to assess the situation. Fortunately, this was what she was trained for. Three Awakened, one fiery danger. Looking to Kaze and Guru she said everything she needed to.

"Get them out."

There was no point including Puck. He had eyes on the source... and it was clear he would do his own thing regardless.

Reaching for her own High Speech, she let the shield from machines fade away - it was redundant now - and took up the powers the Obrimos took to like water to seize control of the fires.

It was blazing hot the air pushing at his skin and filling his lungs with its inferno. Made it hard to breathe, had to push through the heat. When he finally breached the top of the stairs he saw the glyphs flare to life as Puck began a dialogue with the summoned entity. Then he saw the spell shatter and crumble from Phoenyx but he didn’t have a lot of time to think or act, all he knew was there were people across the room who needed his help. The floor was weakened, debris strewn about, plus the entity trying to break free? At least that’s what he’d be doing.

He was glad for a moment that he spent all this time on physical fitness because he knew how to get around. He took off around the entity, not trying to get close to the circle if he could help it. He was winded, he could feel the strain of the heat beginning on his body starting that internal clock ticking. He broke away, to get to the other mages who needed help. He held a hand out, because of the earlier conversation he hesitated on healing the injured mage immediately but at least he was between them and it now. “We gotta get you out of here! Let me heal your friend, yea?” He tried to be heard over the fire’s flame the smoke beginning to fill the room and eat up all its oxygen.

The group continues to move, following Puck as he moves out from the stairwell onto the mezzanine.

The Acanthus was up first: his voice shifted tone and timbre, transforming into something otherworldly. His spell certainly had an effect. The entity seemed to pause and drift closer to the mage, its human face contorting and its human mouth clearly working. The stream of words that spilled from the entity were mostly High Speech which Puck's spell struggled to translate.

While the entity focusses its attention on Puck, Phoenyx wrestled with a spell of her own. Despite her efforts the spot fires still threatened the floor with acrid smoke and distracting heat.

Kaze races over to the burned man near Puck. Dropping to his knees, the Apostate pulsed with power as he wove Healing Heart and poured the energies of Life into the all but cooked fellow. The man's crisp flesh hissed and sizzled, sloughing off revealing healed skin beneath. The man would probably be scarred for life, but he would live.

With a hideous wheeze, the man took a lungful of air.

Guru swings into action as well: he hurls himself across the damaged floor, trusting luck and skill to get him across. He dances across the space and crashes to his knees right next to the couple at the opposite end of the mezzanine. The man is heavily burned as well, breathing shallowly; his torso and face are a mass of burn scars and his clothes smoke. The woman simply stares, slumped in shock at the group's arrival and the entity hanging in the heated air.

Other things of note: -

The three people do have shields - they are limbed by the white flames that attend the glyph of a Prime shield; it would be good against direct magic but not much use again elemental powers like they appear to have summoned.

[Puck]

Glyphs blossom and fade. Bodies move and mend. A lot to process while trying not to choke on the smoke. At least the thing was talking in a way Puck could make out. Mostly, he only had a starting point and nowhere to go with it. This is why you don't procrastinate. If the three Libertines start speaking Spanish? Puck is letting the building burn down with everyone in it.

He does whatever he needs to to make sure the burning d20 understood. Can Phoenyx stab fire? Here's hoping that's a question that doesn't need answering.

[Kaze]

Options flash through Kaze's mind, some impulsive and bold, some cautious. He could try his own hand with the flames, using the Force Arcana, he could try healing the other man, being tended to by the woman and Guru, on the theory that they'd all be out of there faster if they could all move under their own power. He could take the time to enhance his own strength to more easily handle the man he's tasked to get out.

Kaze opts to obey Phoenyx and assume she's got her end, and Guru does to, and whatever Puck is doing, well he's got that too, and Kaze just needs to focus and do his job!

He nods towards Phoenyx and says, "Hey. Listen. I'm going to get you out of here, to the street outside where you can breathe, okay? That's the best way to help right now, just getting outside where no one is having to worry. I'm going to lift you up and you can walk with me supporting you, and then I will come back to get your friend out."

Having warned the still obviously hurting and disoriented man, Kaze lifts him up on his feet and supports him under one arm with his shoulder and heads for the exit with him.

The Arrow felt her temper rising. Puck had already gotten under her skin and no matter how collected she was, her ego was a weakness even if it was one she couldn't recognize in herself.

Guru and Kaze were looking to the injured mages. Puck was focused on the summoned creature. Even if she couldn't understand the strange tongue he was employing, she had no choice but hope he wasn't going to verbally slap it in the face as he seemed to try with everyone else in his vicinity.

A slight edge crept into the chanting as she reaches out again to stay the fires around them.

Everyone moved and shifted, Puck seemed to be talking to the Spirit which was good. His first priority was the safety and health of the injured even if they were the cause of this situation that could all get dealt with later. He kept his words soft, low letting them drift out in soft tones as the fire's roar began to grow and spread. He knew he couldn't delay, the words, the movements, it was all a practiced pattern one of the few things he'd been lucky to learn in his last Consilium.

He pulled the pattern through targeted both of the injured individuals in front of him. He wasn't quite as skilled as Kaze or Aurora but he hoped he got enough life in them to get them up, moving, and the hell out of here.

Kaze hauls the man to his feet. Less burned now; his flesh is soft, red, and hideous. Still in shock, he offers no resistance as the Mighty leads him away - back down the stairwell by which they had come.

Phoneyx continues working and this time she is rewarded in a swirling spray of orange as her Glyph takes hold!. The glyph expands to fill the space in a rainbow of orange hues and a sensation of moving air. Spot fires are snuffed out. Pin-pricks of flame simply pop into oily trails of smoke. The oppressive air cools, swirling and tugging as currents of air wrestle in the space.

Heat dies.

Ash trails cut through the air and gently fall.

Stress, adrenaline, and speed get the better of Guru as he tends to the fall couple: the heavily burned man and the stunned woman. His healing spell is enough of a shock to bring her to her senses but not enough to assist the broken man (though the Shaman can sense his body's need and the need is great indeed.

"Help him!" The woman pleads; commands; begs. Despite all what is going on her focus remains on the still savagely burned man.

The entity drifts closer to Puck, reminding him of the heat that it can belt out, just by being. At least now, thanks to the Arrow's work, the air is less oppressive and he can make out the form of the entity: a polyhedral lattice with a human face floating at the centre. His face! now he that the heat, fire, and smoke has been dealt with. His face made from a ball of flame.

It regards him.

And with that he turned his attention to the two Guru had gotten over to. Wait, two? And Kaze was gone, so that made the minus one fairly obvious. Possibly inconvenient, but obvious.

"It wants to go home and I don't want my face burned off so how about you send it home before we all get served up flambé style?"

Also? Air. Breathable air. Yay for air! Puck was just now realizing what a fan he was.

[Kaze]

Kaze leaves the injured but recovered man leaning on the doorway downstairs. He should be safe enough there, and Kaze is in a hurry to get back upstairs!

When he arrives upstairs, he sees Puck still in communication with the fire thing...so far so good there, apparently, and the air quality is much improved too. Yay.

The guy over with the woman and Guru looks like he's still in really bad shape tho, so Kaze heads over there and kneels down by the burnt guy.

"Hey. Sorry. I'm going to help out, okay? Just doing good here, no harm." Kaze explains.
