The group run through the empty office space. Tiny offices with thin, moveable, walls flash by. Dust and debris drip from the busted ceiling, limned here and there with flame or oozing smoke.
The stairwell presents a problem: tiny; afterthought; heat and smoke pour down it, thickening the air and burning the skin.
Puck is far in front. The Councillor's momentum carries him through the blast of foul smoke and burning air. It clogs his nose and obscures his eyes but he can feel the small fires flare in the debris he charges through.
And then he is on the upper level and his vision clears. He stands in a corner of a mezanine that wrap around the foyer at the front of the building. The floor and walls are pitted and scorched. Metal railings on a large staircase leading into the foyer and wrapping around the entire upper level glow with patchy heat. Scattered debris burns in small piles around the floor.
Laying in front of him is a thin man who is very badly burned. His clothes are smoking ruins and he is stretched out as if he took a terrible blow that sent him sprawling backward. A protective glyph shimmers around him (evidently not the correct type of arcane protection to block whatever hideous attack he had just received).
Across the other side of the floor are two others: another badly burned man who is being half cradled, half dragged into a corner by a desperate woman in jeans and a bandana. They both have two protective glyphs in their aura.
In the centre of the floor - and oddly undamaged in all the chaos - is a summoning circle using Atlantean glyphs. The circle has been created with duct tape and thick china markers. At the heart of the circle is a PC box with a monitor, mouse, keyboard, and it is linked to a curious wooden board with crystal's on it. Mana swirls around the board energetically.
Hovering - no! Bouncing! - around the floor is a flaming ball. No! Not a ball - a blazing polyhedral lattice surrounding a ball of pure celestial flame upon which is imprinted a simulacrum of a human (a male) face. Open mouthed, the entity babbles and shrieks in Atleantean.
The air is a confused mass of heat and clammy coldness, swirling in an acrid mass that is only agitated by the blazing entity as it bounds like a slow pin-ball around the space. Dust and debris are caught in the churn, trailing smoke and tiny flares of flame in the caustic air.

The hot air / fire is channeled down the tiny stairwell the party are moving through.
Puck
will cop 1B from the heat and a -1 penalty to physical actions due to the shock of passing through such an environment. His Shield doesn't quite protect against that kind of thing.

Guru
have Organic Resiliance (Life Shield). They wont suffer the 1B but they will suffer the -1 penalty to physical actions.
Kaze
also has Body Control, so he won't be affected by the -1 penalty to physical actions either.
Xander
- the floor area around the summoning circle has been damaged in the initial fiery exchange. If Puck wants to get to the circle, or beyond it to assist the other two mages, you will need to account for another -2 situational penalty for any physical action to move through / manipulate / act in that area.
