Mable watched the flaying. The grace that Twist did it was amazing. Mable stood a little straighter as she waited for the Price to approve or not. Mable's beast was softly chanting for blood. She stood silent and strong, ignoring the images of blood thirsty cults it brought to mind. The punishment was well executed.

As she was mulling this all over in her mind there were interruptions from Jennifer and Edward. Her head snapped to them then back to the Prince and Twist. She waited... the Prince gave a look and said something in Italian to Twist and left. Mable then watched and waited to see what Twist would do next.

Edward didn't have a political bone in his body; if he did, he might have seen Jennifer's attempt at deflection for what it was. Instead, he took the snipe, the claim of some unnamed disrespect, personally. Which is to say: he took it as a personal conflict between himself and Jennifer.

Which is why when Twist's words came, they came as a sucker punch. The anger collapsed into hurt, the feeling of betrayal and unfairness roiled through him, and Edward's bristling body language sagged. It would be a long time before he realized Twist's words doubled as a lesson.

For now, he bowed deeply to the Prince as she left, and, while supplicated, decided it was time for him to leave as well. A bow to the second-highest, Jack, and then a bow to Twist, before Edward departed Court.

[Connor OBrien]

Connor stands by Jennifer, simply waiting and listening. The language both The Archon and Prince spoke in was one he had heard many times during his tenure in New York; familiar enough to recognize as Italian, but not familiar enough for him to understand. He bows deeply to the Prince as she leaves, but decides to save the other two bows until he leaves behind Jennifer. Familial solidarity lasted to the door on this particular night, but he knew he would have letters to write to bring the family together as a whole.

The Nosferatu Elder appeared a gruesome sight - skinless, his Curse of red, burned skin that marked him had been stripped away. His identity, perhaps? Mr. Kowalsic had managed the first two minutes in silence, before shouting in pain at the ministerations of the Archon. Now, he quivers on the rack, his considerable composure holding himself from Frenzy.

At the Prince's departure, the ghoul has ushered the Miss Kowalsic out of Elysium, into the back of a waiting luxury car. The car turns to the city limits, driving east. Driving out of Sacramento. Forever?

The ghouls now begin preparations for the second part of the punishment: banished from Sacramento. The elder is removed from the rack, his clothing gathered and the elder is escorted by ghouls from the Elysium properly, with no sympathy for the criminal. Large cloth shields designed to shield crime scenes by the coroner's office are assembled by the door. Shielded so, three of Mr. Kowalsic's ghouls assist him into the back of a luxury car. One ghoul takes the driver's seat. One ghoul, Mr. Green, collects the ghouls packages surrendered to the coat check of Elysium and the coats of the Kowalsics. The second enters into the back of the car with the elder. A few moments pass until everything is assembled and the car drives away, following the path of the first luxury car that departed.

The shields, some splattered now with the Vitae of an elder, are carried off to wherever they are washed and stored. The Kowalsics have departed.

[Jennifer Hazelton]

Jennifer inclines her head to the Archon, appreciating that the Duchess had spotted the issue. A look of respect was given to the Archon as she risked matching the Archon's gaze. The Nosferatu bent to her deepest curtsy of the night to the Prince as the Prince took her leave.

Jennifer kept her Cursed voice to herself and ignored the rest of Court, who were no doubt filled with speculation. Her dark eyes return to the justice on the rack. Watching the ghouls carry out their work, she is silent. Her face is composed as she watches her family members gathered up and ushered out of the Domain, onto their permanent Banishment. No doubt the warning to the Kindred was clear - fuck around with disrespect and find out.
As the sentence was over, her eyes tick over to to Seneschal Jacque , matching his gaze with a nod of her own. She then performed a perfect curtsy to the Seneschal to show her deep respect for her ally. Jennifer turns to the Archon and performs another deep curtsy. She turns to Priscus Durant. The Nosferatu noted the hands on the Mekhet. The Nosferatu Priscus gives the Mekhet Priscus a respectful nod of her head, attentive to her role and status she had earned in the domain.

"Shall we, Clan Nosferatu?" Her ruined voice airs, looking first to Connor OBrien . Who had been showing initiative.
Jennifer moved gracefully out of Elysium proper, straight backed and confident. Her steps of average pace, not hurrying. Jennifer exits Elysium and moves to a waiting car, with the engine kept running. Instead of a car service, it is a young man who exits Jennifer's own Toyota Avalon and opens the door for Jennifer and any Nosferatu who choose to ride home with her.

[Bellemy]

Bellemy had stayed resolute throuh the entire affair. Quiet and stoic. Never flinching or giving any impression of shying away from the punishment, lest another object lesson be needed.

Following Jennifer's example Bellemy curtzied to the elder kindred. A picture of respect to authority. When Jennifer spoke the haunt gave a nod and said "As you say, Priscus." and followed on her heels and into the car.

As Jennifer calls the Nosferatu to leave, Connor makes his final bows. Both the seneschal and the Judex recieved bows of the same depth and length, reflecting the Seneschal's rank in court, and the Judex's rank within their covenant.

Without a word, the haunt retrieves his items and leaves Elysium, and introspective look upon his face.
