Crystal shrugged Aurora's apologies off. "Eh, I'm not the sentimental kind of guy, don't worry. I would have liked for you to stick around longer, but you're a grown-ass woman and I won't convince you." He drained his glass. "Maybe you'll come back some day?" Although he didn't really think so. Just like he didn't expect Campanella to return anytime soon.
"Appreciated." He didn't expect Matthew to lose any sleep because of that. Frankly, if Crystal was losing any sleep it was because of his affinity to pep, not because of some man. At least that's what he told himself.
He listened to her explanation. He felt like he knew where she was coming from. "Yeah, there's not a lot to learn from this city as is. Fuck, that's as good a reason as any. Still, I won't puss out: if you need advice on literature or anything be sure to give me a call or text me." Which she probably wouldn't, and Crystal wouldn't be mad about it. They were kind of similar in that regard.
'Bart'? Oh, right - Campanella. "Oof, yeah okay. Understandable. Like, he seemed like a man of many qualities." Because talking at that level was better than acknowledging how him leaving sucked for the Shaman. He wasn't the fucking spiritual welfare after all.
"So, wanna get blackout drunk with me? Promise I won't talk about personal shit unless you want to. Call it a farewell party."
Not much time left - I'm good to close it soon, unless you've got something else to add.
Thank you for the cool scene!
