"He's covered in old blood and ash." He says, knowing full well it means the tall man has broken one of the cities laws. He begins to slowly cover the distance between himself and Edward, leaving about 5 yards distance between himself and the Daeva. According to the tall man's cloths, this all started in blood and ash, and it was very likely how it would end. Connor is ready for that possible outcome.

Milton had noticed her too: the congregant with a bob-cut. He indicates the woman with a nod of his head and speaks softly to Addy, "That one there, with them? That's Martha?"
It seems that her loyalties now lie with the strangers. Though it is unclear whether she chose that path or it was forced upon her.
Milton watches the situation closely from behind the cover of his vehicle. He won't be much in a fight, but he can sound the alarm if he notices anything of consequence.

"Surely I misheard you, Mr. Erlingson." A single eyebrow, haughtily raised, accompanied Edward's words. "Did you just suggest there are items worth more than our traditions? More important than the tradition we hold above all others?"
Edward looked just a bit sad hearing Connor's words. Dirt Nap's own words provoked no reaction.
"My mind has jumped to the worst possible cause for your state of attire and for that I beg your pardon, Mr. Erlingson. Nevertheless, I must insist upon hearing the cause for such mess, given the... implication." Edward gave a small embarrassed smile.
"And, Mr. Erlingonson," Edward calmly and openly unzips the fishing rod case, the shine of polished steel lurking within, "honour compels me to warn you. Should your rationale be found wanting, I will be obliged to bring you and your associates before the city's officials."

Blush, Imbibe, Blush, Blush, Blush, Imbibe, Jennifer listened closely to her companions as they speak to Mr. Erlingson, signalling that they have caught details that she had missed. It was clear that this stranger had brought violence to Sacramento. If he was coated in blood and ash, then he had taken the right of destruction, thumbed his nose at the Prince's Law. She gave Milton a signifignant look, stating "He's broken the Traditions."
This was beyond a simple investigation. Dark brown eyes look at Addy and Milton, listening to the concern about Martha being swept up with the others.
Ordinarily she would speak out against this stranger, yet it is clear Edward is attempting some persuasion. Jennifer carefully evaluated the parking lot, counting heads. She counted shields as well, knowing they would make a physical confrontation all the more drawn out.
The Nosferatu Priscus knew this was likely going to end in ash. She prepared herself from her position crouched behind the vehicle. Moving slowly to not attract attention, Jennifer removed the combat knife from the holster on her calf and wielded it, concealing her hand beside her thigh. No need to be the first to provoke, especially if they could be thrown off their game. They seemed like violent sort. Jennifer began to review her Blood Gifts, determining which could throw off the opposing Kindred best.

Geir’s smile didn’t exactly falter at Dirt Nap’s comment, rather it got momentarily larger and more fixed for a split second before returning to it’s normal (still wide) width.
“Alive, if you’re curious,” he said nonchalantly.
But then, Connor took his steps forward and Erlingson’s hand immediately grasped his sword hilt. Even with O’Brien’s slow movements, it was as if the leader sensed violent and dangerous intent from the Haunt. The smile now showed with a tightened jaw muscle, glancing to look Connor in the eye and give a stern warning.
“Stay where you are. Your betters are speaking.”
It was only when Edward mispronounced his name that the smile finally dropped. He looked back into the Davea’s eyes with hatred and disgust.
“I would not trust the rational of someone who can’t even remember my name. We follow the traditions. Ancient, pure, and unsullied by modern corruptions in meaning by the weak and cowards.” The smiled crept back onto its face.
“We are leaving. If you are wise, you will keep your associates from following us by whatever means you can, even violence. Trust me, I am the son of Jarls and by Loki, anything you could do would be as a maiden’s kiss compared to my displeasure.”
He speaks a few forceful words in a Norse tongue. The driver starts the car and Geir starts walking backwards to the driver-side back seat.
That distrustful panicky look was back in Addy. “They have Martha. They broke the law, the traditions. We have to stop them,” he whispered looking to his Priscus, hoping (pleading) that she agreed with his need to take action.

Dirt Nap doesn't answer the raider leader, and shifts his position slightly from where he was when he called out, the better to avoid them knowing where exactly he is. He watches, all around. It's the Lady Hazelton he's aiming to keep alive and kicking through this, so he stifles his impulse to take a winged form and get up high to watch better and follow if need be. It's what he'd do if he were alone, but that's not why he's here.
He looks around, trying to see anything important, any kind of fail safe or rigged explosives the raiders plan to leave to take care of witnesses. It's something he'd think of anyway.
He's distracted by his focus, though; keeping the Lady alive is the goal here. Not solving mysteries or saving other Kindred, not really.
He watches Lady Hazelton, ready to go out and fight if she makes the move. All things considered, it'd probably be best to avoid this fight, since the raiders don't seem to want it, but seem strong enough to make the Domain defenders regret it. Any little thing he might do could spark a fight that doesn't need to happen this time around. He settles on staying ready and watching the Lady Hazelton for her lead.

Connor suddenly stops dead in his tracks, physically unable to move closer to Edward or the Tall Man. He moves his head to the left and right, then focuses on the tall man. He has something he can do, but he won't start a fight unless his Priscus calls for it. "It's your call Priscus, what do we do?" He calls, his eyes still on the Tall Man.

Milton watches the exchange closely. His attention is drawn from Geir to one of his associates who seems to lack some of the discipline shown by his fellows.
Between Geir's words to Edward and the reaction of his compatriot, Milton suddenly realizes what's happened. It is not a welcome development.
Carefully, he moves away from Addy and toward Jennifer, keeping behind the cover of their vehicles.
When he speaks, his voice is barely above a whisper: "Priscus, that was no warning to Mr. Heinrich. That was a command," he hisses the final word, giving it added emphasis. "Mr. Heinrich may move to stop us if we follow now. He will not be able to help it."

As it stood, it would be unwise to follow them. That much Edward was certain. The attackers were prepared for full combat, and of the Domain's group, how many were really prepared to fight? Milton certainly couldn't, Connor was an unknown, Dirt Nap was an unknown, and Jennifer while technically an unknown did not encourage Edward. She just didn't seem the type to relish and practice the arts of violence.
Meanwhile, he had zero doubt that each and every one of those before them could and would be lethal. I could delay Geir, but to what end? Edward didn't see himself beating an elder in single combat, and if the rest of the Domain's group would be wiped in the meantime...
It was an easy choice. He would let them go. It was almost certain they would retreat to the boat, which meant chasing them now would be counterproductive. It might lead to them fleeing to some other harder to find safe house.
These interlopers would be hunted, but not now, not tonight.
