PrP WtG Wind's Howling

[Liam Gelt]

Liam recovers from the gust of wind, looking over Worm to make sure he's okay. "I sure felt it. But whatever IT is, it's not natural".
The Giant now notices the dazzling Titania just off to the side and he's briefly taken aback. Wow! How did I miss her standing there? Was she at the Coronation? I don't think I'd have forgotten about something that...shiny.
He steps towards Titania and offers a hand in greeting. "Hello! Name's Liam. This is Colonel Worm". He gestures back towards the Goblin as he spits leaves out of his mouth. "You may want to stand back. This is clearly Hedge-stuff going on". He strides just ahead, between their new companion and the whirling dervish.

[Colonel Worm]

Liam does the work of introductions. Which frees Worm up to give Titania a good once over.

God damn... he thinks. She's a literal Goddess. Some kind of Space Goddess.

For once in his life, Worm is tongue-tied. He just stares at the Telluric for a few second, blinking slowly.

Then: "Hey--yeah. Hey. What's up?" A pause. "What he said. About names and stuff. You can call me CW if you want." Public being public, after all.

"You two see how it tried to...pull her. Into the park?"

He turns and faces that direction. Looks back a them: "What do you say, should we take a little stroll?" Without really waiting for an answer, the Goblin sets off, moving further into the park.

[Titania]

"Hi", she says shaking the Giant's hand, repaying the glances with a bright smile. She nods, "Yes, I believe we met at the party. I'm Eleanor, a pleasure". With the two of them heading toward the whirlwind, and herself being the target, her curiosity has been piqued, and so she follows.

[Scourge]

As the Changelings step onto the grass, the whirlwind (or whatever it was) moves away again, rising into the air a couple feet before coming down again to ground level. Away from the edges of the park into the large field, there are fewer dropped leaves and dust, leaving only the waving of short grass to show the whirlwind's passage. And it keeps jumping up into the air, making it even harder to keep track of where it is. Though they can all still hear it rushing, evening when too high to see it's trail.

However, as long as they kept moving toward it, it kept excitedly moving away.

Wits+Comp-4 to perceive the invisible wind.
Wits+Survival-2 to 'track' it through the grass.

"It's like a...Wind Puppy?"
Liam relaxes just a bit, remembering his encounter with Sonnie's dog, Fugly "I think it's trying to play with us."

The Wind Puppy dives into the tall grass and Liam strides after it. It was just like the old days in Arcadia, though at the time he'd been tracking movement through treetops and not tall grass. Still, he relies on his height to follow the movements of the little dust devil.
"Hey little guy? You wanna play?"

[Colonel Worm]

"Pleasures all ours," Worm replies to Titania. He means it too.

Wind puppy? Maybe. Worm doesn't want to assume the thing is cute and playful. Doesn't want to be caught off guard if the situation goes sideways. As they follow the...wind dog, he tries to stay ready for anything.

The Colonel watches the grass, trying to discern where their new acquaintance is headed.

Perhaps it's because she's distracted by the two men, but she doesn't follow the Taller of the two. What is he talking about? The breeze was alive?
Still, she nods, merrily following along.

[Scourge]

Liam and Worm are able to easily follow to the center of the field. The wind angles off occasionally but for the most part seems to be heading in a straight line. The breeze paused when Liam said ‘hey’. However, without anything to outline it, it’s impossible to tell just how it’s reacting, aside from the small breaths of air that come from it standing still.

Liam sees the fluctuations in the breeze; the Wind Puppy could understand him! "Hey guys, I think it heard me".
The Giant squats down as best he can and stretches a long, branchlike arm towards the zephyr. "Hello little guy, you're a long way from home aren't you?"

Despite looking a bit ridiculous, stooped as he was like some primeval bird, the Ogre manages to soften his tone just a bit and offer a friendly smile.

[Colonel Worm]

"Careful..." Worm says quietly as Liam crouches down. "Easy now." He's all for making nice, but who knows what this...wind dog or whatever actually is. Or what it might want.

He glances at Titania with a raised brow, his suspicion written all over his face. Then back to Liam.

There are so many questions. For instance: why is it stalking this particular park? And where is it leading them, if it's actually leading them to a particular spot?

Worm searches their immediate surroundings for a sign, some clue as to thing's origins, desires, or goals. Does it want to show them something? Take them somewhere? Is it leading them into a trap?
