The younger male wasn't gawking or leering as some of the other Kindred in the room were certainly doing; Conner sees an expression of concern. He's either squeamish, which is impossible for Kindred; or there's something he wants to see averted. The Prince too, more so, was notably cool in her response. Conner had seen that stance, that righteously imperious anger. Like a parent scolding a child. That hit home more than he knew she realized.
He silently bows to the Prince. Then JC is called away by Jack; Conner can't help but wonder what had motivated a total stranger to stick his neck out like that. At the very least, he doesn't seem to be an enemy...yet.
He wordlessly nods to Quinn and gratefully walks with her up the stairs out of this hellish lion's den, offering Maeve a single, regretful look before they inevitably part ways. Disaster thought this was, Conner could see the slivers of mercy that peppered the night. He walked out of that Court alive and acknowledged and with questions to be answered; someone clearly didn't want him dead just yet.

There is a point to which Maeve wants to get the fuck out in the presence of the Prince, but in this moment, while she is insulting her clan, that she'd like to rip her head off and display it on a pike as a message. Unfortunately, that won't be a thing. Can't be a thing. Not unless everyone attacked at once. That won't happen, of course.

JC comes forward toward them and she can't help but think about Quinn's message to her about him while they were gathered up in that group that... she has absolutely no idea what's going on there. Awkward. But JC - Crazy thoughts. Is he having crazy thoughts about us? Is he protecting the Prince? Or, is he just curious? Lots of possibilities and none of them seem all that great. No one likes to see backup.

Maeve stays silent after the barely syllable that came out of her mouth and nods to Quinn. Yes. Walk us out. I'm so fucking done for the night. Some things have really got to change. Urgh, but that means playing the long game. No one likes a long game. Instant gratification is more fun. ...is that why I'm such a little shit?

Clan meeting is gonna be interesting. Again, the shadow says nothing and simply walks alongside her Priscus, keeping a bit of distance from Conner. Finally. Freedom for the evening. Maybe next time she'll hide in a legitimate shadow.
