Since getting to Sacramento, Ram hadn’t had much call to go into his usual line of work. In many ways, he was lucky the job with Funderland had come along so quickly. The fact was, Ram wasn’t especially good with the darker side of the world.

Yeah, he got it, get paid under the table. Disappear when certain people showed up. However, in practice, he tended to muscle his way through the underworld rather than slip into it. Granted, sometimes being able to muscle in was appreciated in the underside, but Ram didn’t go in for that type of work unless he really had to.

Before coming to Sacramento, construction had been his scene. At least, once some Freeholders with more finesse got him in with the bosses. And once it became clear that deconstruction was where he was actually more useful. After tearing out a steel strut without the cost of explosives, they had stopped asking questions.

Unfortunately, what little goodwill he had with below the table operations meant nothing hear in Sacramento. Fortunately, with Circe’s help, ‘Andrew’ had a bonifide Id that those without the interest wouldn’t look to close at. And Ram knew approximately where to look for struts that needed to be taken out without the cost of explosives.

Which, even if he didn’t need a job right now, definitely got him an idea of who to talk to in the future about tearing down and putting up walls.
