"She doesn't seem to be that badly off. I think all she needs is a bit of rest. And the only gate I know of around here is back through that fog bank, so probably not where we want to go. How far are we from the one you two used to get here?"

Then he glanced up briefly, looking between Marz and Edward. "Don't worry Edward, Marz knows better than to try anything with Rex. He helped us find you." Then Rick paused a bit. Edward had recognized him very easily considering that he was now presenting his mein instead of his mask. And he didn't seem the least bit surprised either. "Edward...is this how you've always seen me, and Terri?"

Alice looked at Rick and spoke, "We did not know any established gates so I made us one. We won't be any help there and will have to find a gate the old fashion way." Alice held back a sigh when the owl approached the cave and Enzo answered him.

It will make a great hollow now that everyone outside the motley knows where it is. I wonder if this other group can be trusted or if we have to locate somewhere else.

She went silent as the owl got startled and flew off and quickly pulled her rifle off her shoulder and held it at the ready. Not taking her eyes of the cave Alice spoke in a quiet serious tone, "Careful everyone, everything just went silent. Keep your eyes peeled."

"Even if you just made the gate it can still take us back to-" Rick stopped talking suddenly, his gaze locked on the mouth of the cave. And he couldn't help but feel a bit stupid for not thinking of it earlier. "That cave mouth, it's a natural opening. I can turn it into a gate back to the mortal world." He scoops up Terri in his arms once more as he moves towards the cave. It would appear that he means to do just as he said.

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWKKKKKKKK!!!

The sudden and rather vicious animal cry echoes from the darkness of the cave, bouncing around and amplified, almost ancient.

Something has woken.

[Enzo]

Enzo freezes as Marz bolts, and everything goes silent. Then Rick speaks and the booming cawing comes from the cave. Enzo takes only a moment, thinking long and hard for about four seconds before he resolves himself, and decides theres no better way to hand the situation.

"Carpe Diem." He says, pulling back the bolt of his rifle to make sure it is loaded, and then heading towards the cave's entrance without pause.

Rick bit back a curse. No wonder the damned owl had been in such a hurry to leave. At least he hadn't made it far. He spun on his heel, quickly lowering Terri to the ground as gently as he could. His hands snapped into motion as he spun back around. His feet quick stepped past Terri before settling into a firm stance in front of her. And there he stood, bowie knife in one hand and battery in the other. Steel and lightning, if whatever was in there wanted to get at Terri it would have to go through him to do so.

Damn it Ezno! Alice thought as she saw him head toward the cave before she could stop him. She got down to her knee and kept the barrel of her rifle pointed at the cave mouth covering Enzo's approach. While drawing on her glamour her skin was soon covered head to toe in frost. A deep bone chilling cold began to radiate from her flesh as billowing clouds of freezing air fell off her body pooling around her feet.

Alice spends 2 glamour to activate Armor of the Elementals Fury (Ice).

[Forn Clakes]

The cry echoes until the cave and Hedge surrounding it goes silent. A movement can be made out in the darkness and the sound of scraping can be made out, a sound akin to metal on stone. Then, the creature that made the cry appears, a massive lizard-like head first followed by the rest of its body, a croos between an ancent dragon and an extinct pterodatyl, with vibrant blue and red markings covering its hide.

Slowly, warily, it exits the cave through the vines, two yellow eyes looking between the gathered changelings, head snaking between them. It stands between seven and eight feet at the shoulder and looks extemely broad backed and well muscled. A thick, metal collar is locked around its neck with a chain as thick as an arm attached where it trails back into the cave proper. Matching manacles surround its four limbs and one of its wings is hanging limp, dragging along the floor.
