There's a metallic clunk as Melanie's body hits the floor, her open fingers revealing brass knuckles. It seems she had an idea that didn't pan out. You had to come prepared if you attack the Archon! The woman is clearly put into Torpor from the damage that she has endured. Yet as you watch, the supernatural curse that animates her seems to flee her corpse. Final death has broken its spell of animation over this Kindred. Her immortal body begins to rot, already swelling with some putrification. The process is ongoing and appears may take a bit.
The two ghouls who presumably belong to Mr. Kowalsic, a Kindred of some standing in the Invictus, observe the growling coyote with concern.
The brunette ghoul approaches to conversational distance with Twist.
"Ma'am, I could call my employer to deal with the inbound police, if it pleases you. I... had forgotten that you did not need our intervention." He speaks to Twist's chin, his eyes not daring to meet her own. "We have some tools in our vehicle for disposing of... this problem... if you wish."
In observing Charles and the other, John, there is a sense that they have been well versed in proper ettiquette that the Invictus expects of their ghouls. They have been in service long enough to have had their rough edges worn smooth, so that it becomes habit. Even as the ghoul, the blonde one who is farthest from Twist, walks to the end of the hallway to check for witnesses in the lobby, he walks in a sideways gait to not turn his back on her. When he stands still to evaluate the area, he seems to watch her out of his peripheral vision, awaiting a signal or some command.
