(2010) Eternal Court

JC stood to bow as the officials entered. Even if he couldn’t sense the Seneschal’s or the Reeve’s taint he knew it was there. And Alessadra’s presence more than infected his mind with feelings and desires sprung from dangerous beauty so that it was al too easy to imagine all three beautiful women bearing down on him with delicate, pale, or tattooed fingers turning to claws.

He sat a little while longer. Listening. Processing. Sifting meaning, feelings, interpretations and the sources of all that. It didn’t calm him per say but it helped settle the worst of it into the back of his mind. Let him better focus on Court without those voices drowning out everything else. He returned Dirt Nap’s nod and gave one to his cousin, Mable, as well.

“Good evening Seneschal Hart,” he greeted the Wraith standing again as she addressed him. Her look was modern and though he noted her trousers still allowed for range of motion. Except for the stilettoes (which could be kicked off easily enough) they were definitely clothes you could fight in while looking good. Even blood couldn't mare the white of her pale rosen lipped smirk, he found himself disturbed to think. “How are you this evening? Would you like a seat?” he offered gesturing to the nearby leather seats and couches he had stood from.

Warm, living fingers press against her shoulders, one after the other, and Alice bows, deeply for the fearsome Prince, still so grand that the Wraith cowers under her bones, shivering in the once ice, and only less so for her deadly Hound.

"Your Majesty, Your Grace," a greeting, deference.

She rises.

It takes a moment, but she places his voice. "Mister Smith, the night has found me well, and yourself?" she asks, sliding into the seat she didn't need, feeling the leather against exposed gaps between the lace, and upon her arms, as she settles, bringing a leg up to cross over the other.

A deep bow of her head was offered to Twist when she entered. Seemed they both favored black with gold accents this evening. Not that she minded. She would be honored to share just a fraction of the Archons fashion sense.

Watching the room, there were a few she was curious about. But not enough to leave her place. Not yet. Maybe in a few.

For now, she was content to watch small groups break aside and talk among themselves. One of the perks to being Price? She didn’t have to socialize when she didn’t feel like it. Instead, choosing the perfect time to join in.

Mable noticed everyone was becoming involved in conversations. She watched with amusement as Quinn looked Dirt Nap up and down like a tasty treat. She started to head over then heard her announce she was Ordo. Dirt would probably like to discuss Ordo stuff at least briefly so she decided to wait a little before heading over.

When the Prince arrived, Horatio hadn't pointed out the Prince to Maeve. While Mable was pondering going over, Jennifer had started over already. Then She made the introductions Mable was going to make. Again, Mable decided to not interfere.

Mable gave a nod to JC when he saw her. She gave him an encouraging smile as he invited Alice to sit and speak with him.

For now, Mable was content with watching and listening. If she was needed she was available without disrupting any conversation.

JC smiled while thinking Alice looked like a mannequin some invisible puppeteer had maneuvered into chair. He sat as near as was polite. As near as he could feel comfortable.

[Twist]

Twist noted the small wave of acknowledgments her arrival brought the way one notes that a room was colder or warmer than the outside. Brief smiles of receipt were returned for those worthy of it.

Unsurprisingly, small groupings were pulling away. The hum of conversation in the room dropping to a pleasing level. Hearing her name, she glanced over to see Jennifer with the idiot who had brought a dog and an unknown Kindred. From what she heard it seemed the girl with blue hair was indeed new, not just unknown due to Twist not attending the last few courts. And as Jennifer continued, it seemed that the idiot may still well be an idiot.

But she seemed to have it in hand. And so she let her feet carry her on, wandering slowly through court.

Bowing from a seated position was tricky, but doable if one had the practice, and Alice had the practice. So when Lyssa presses a warm hand to Alice's shoulder in a silent tell that the Archon had arrived, Alice moves into this practed motion, not truly a bow, but lower than a simple bob of the head.

When she rights herself she turns more to her conversation...

Dark eyes watch the exchange between the Shadows and Jennifer. The lack of basic manners was concerning. As was the blue haired girl seeming to blow the whole thing off. Then again, she didn’t have the best example to base her behavior off.
