She lowers her glass to the table, watching the Spirit approach. The twin red lights made her a bit uncomfortable. But, they seemed focused on Anima, not her. Not a bad thing.
Meat? Ah, then she realizes. They, her and Anima were alive and made of, well, meat. The Spirit? Not so much.
Hearing the sounds, she realizes that she wanted ice cream. Damn Spirit.
Eyes flick to Anima, curious to how he was going to handle this. Catching the look from him, she shrugs. This was what he wanted, so, speak Spirit boy.
This Shaman was content to keep quiet. For now. But watches closely.
The spirit seems to draw itself up. The wafting cloud of insects glisten and coalesce into a shell around its form for a scintillating moment.
<I pass to and from my Domain. The Peace Weaver grants me passage through this place instead of chiminage. This arrangement is more satisfying to me. Has the Peace Weaver offered chiminage to you, oh meat?>
At the edge of its voice, the sound of the ice cream van faded away; in its place was a discordant note, like a drill or a lawnmower droning loudly on a lazy afternoon.

Spirit Tongue, Rouse Spirit
Anima's tongue clucks off the roof his mouth as he carefully weighs Guardian Hedge's words, it's discordance, it reminds him to touch up the sidewalk trim this weekend.
<Chiminage... no. I tend to the plant. Has there been any disturbances in your domain? I know there have been intruders in neighboring regions.>
Picking up her beer, she takes a sip as she listens. Trying to pick out phrases that might sound familiar, or anything that help.
Chiminage? Eyes shift to Anima. She was really out of touch with the whole Spirit side of things. Turning Seer’s into fish? No problem. Understanding Spirits? Not a chance.
Intruders? Was he referring to the spider things? Or was something else going on? She has a feeling she didn’t ask enough questions before this whole thing started.

<Disturbance? No. There are always challengers threatening my protectorates. This is the way of the Realms>
The two red points seemed to drill into Anima
<There are other places where this is not so. There a places where the Gauntlet grows thick like rock, freezing everything in place. You best avoid those places, meat. The Children of the Spinner Hag will see you as a tasty morsel. And there are other places where the Gauntlet has been eaten away to almost nothing. Eaten by the Ravenous Biting Horde. Avoid them, meat - they will eat you all up.>
<But none of them come near here.>
The note of smugness was undeniable, even in a voice so unusual and inhuman as that belonging to Guardian Hedge.

Spirit Tongue, Rouse Spirit
Anima glances at Aurora, looking for recognition in her eyes, not sure if he should speak up and explain, but not wanting to insult their guest.
<Spinner Hags children have been invading the meat. They try to spin a bigger web. Thank you for keeping your realm safe from them. I have not been exposed to the threat of the Biting Hoard, thank you for keeping your realm safe from them. Do you have allies against the children of the Hag?>
Slowly sipping from her glass, she continues to listen and watch.
Spinner Hag? Spinner made her think spider, was that about the ones from the house. Was it the same? Or was it referring to something else?
But if the Gauntlet was being eaten away, that could present a problem. A big problem. One they needed to watch. One they needed to shore up.
Catching her fellow Shamans eyes, there was a slight raise of her eyebrows.
But his words confirmed her thoughts. The Sinner Hag’s children were what they encountered in the house. Was the Gauntlet being eaten away by them? If so, fixing those holes could stop, or at least, slow them down. Turns out this was more educational and helpful then she thought.
<Flesh thieves!>
Guardian Hedge spoke with vehemence - the cacophony of discordant notes that passed for its voice could be interpreted no other way, surely.
<The Court of Roads waxes strong near the Children's Lair. Or seek out the Court of Buildings for they are scattered like grains of dirt upon a pavement and will accept any aid.">
The spirit posed causally, any cause of anger as suddenly vanished as it had come.
Apologies for the time it took to respond. I am mindful we are starting to veer into Kelreth territory. Plus, I am no longer STing the venue. Cosnider this fodder for potential PrP down the line.
<Thank you for the knowledge Guardian Hedge. Knowing there are possible allies can help us move strongly against the Web-Spinners.>.
The Witch-Doctor looks to Aurora. "It seems that we're not the only ones who have issues with spiders. We might not be alone in our efforts. Is there anything your curious about?"
Anima had hoped to find an ally today, he'll take a leads on possible allies as a win.
Eyebrows raise at the vehemence, someone was not happy. But, were Spirits ever happy?
A nod when Anima spoke. They had already wanted to eliminate the spiders, maybe this was the push they needed.
“Not in regards to the Spirit.” She replied to him. “But if you’re thinking of forming a group to take care of the spiders, then there is a lot to discuss. Spirits can be finicky to work with, and reading the fine print is vital.” Listening to what isn’t said or agreed to.
