Looking at the bald man a bit confused.
"Wait am I missing something here? A mere three hours and you were ready for rest?" Was that real? "Three hours is just a normal morning jog nothing to get tired over even if you are in constant motion at the time but a car lets at least every non driver relax to begin with."
Feeling a little lost at the rest of his words.
"Would you mind telling me of this rumpus room? What do you do there? I have never heard that term before and I am afraid."
Giving him a kind smile.
"Helly Satyricon you may call me Skye, with an E at the end if you need to spell it."

Listening to them talk, taking in what they said they were clearly a group that were far more in synch and knew each other better than they were. True Kaze and Phoenyx had some experience together but the rest of them had very little teamwork to speak of that might be worth noting for later.

There was one thing that bothered her about the curators words here, she would love to get a clearer answer but still she was not sure if Phoenyx were just playing polite or meant her words. Hoping that someone else would pick up on it and hopefully ask the sleeper in a more private manner or if they were really gonna cooperate so could she just ask that soon herself.

[Naga]

Spotting the curator, Naga was about to grab the woman's attention... but Kaze beat her to it. Raising an eyebrow, she remained quiet and instead listened to the Sleeper.

"Out of curiosity, how much does the Angel go for? Oh, and where can we find... Ms. Sadie, was it?"

[Kaze]

Kaze nods, genuinely fascinated at the history the woman apparently on staff seems to know. "Wow, that's really interesting! You must do a lot of research to get the stories behind the paintings. I always appreciate art more when I feel, like, a connection to them, their story, you know?" He says appreciatively.

"So it was just...already here? Not like, bought somewhere else and transported. How cool! Do you know if the store that was here before had a lot of art like that? That's so sad the owner had to retire for her health. I'd love to find out more about what it was like and what else she had in her store." Kaze muses.

He is aware of Skye's conversation, and interested, but does not look away from the helpful woman. He hears Phoenyx direct Naga to change her focus from the out of town mages to speak with the woman about the painting instead, and shifts slightly, casually, to let Naga be the closest and most in focus to the woman.

Than Kaze does glance around, just casually alert, checking for anything out of place or weird and prioritizing any potential threats.

[Yumyumcrow]

Satyricon opens his mouth, surprised at Skye revelation. Striga Mortis takes a breath as well, attempting to stifle a smirk and failing gracefully.

"A rumpus room is like a spare lounge or living room," Striga added as she edged closer to the Sleeper.

"Wait? You think three hours in a cramped car is easy? And... yeah... we drove out in the late afternoon. Why wouldn't we find a place to crash once we reached our destination? Its not like, you know, we have a golden ticket or a free pass for movement." Satyricon's eyes flashed, indicating he was implying something about his group's magical capabilities.

The Sleeper addressed Kaze first.

"Well. One tries one's best. The Angel was most difficult. It... It does appear to have simply been stock left over from the previous business. Ms Sadie saw potential in it. I don't know much about the business previously on these premises - the... ah! gentleman was known to have some very eclectic and, one might say, spurious interests. He was acquainted with a very rough crowd from what I've heard; and it would seem those... eh... vulgar connections finally came home to roost."

The woman's mouth wrinkled with distaste and she gleefully switched her interest to Naga and Phoenyx

"Lacking proper context I cannot really put a price on the art. Ms Sadie will know for certain. She is outside by the punchbowl. Or was when I came in. Look for the tall lady in the business suit. Eh. Red hair in a tight bun. Ms Sadie is all business today. I am sure she will be very pleased to take your interest into consideration."

Striga Mortis pounces.

"Thank you," she says - her voice sickly sweet.

The rival mage begins drifting away toward the landscaped gardens outside... relatively quickly.

[Phoenyx]

The Arrow inclines her head in thanks to the sleeper, and watches Strigor Mortis bound off, eyes narrowing a little at the new mage as she leaves.

"Shall we?" She asks the other mages, before starting to follow Stigor after a few seconds pause.

"Ahh never heard that word before thank you."

Her eyes going back and forth a bit but still her group was moving and to miss information might be bad, the question in her mind still burning a bit but maybe she was just over analyzing things it wouldn't be the first time if such was the case.
"Cramped? A car is normally made for five people to sit comfortably and comes with a nice little A/C unit if I am not mistaken so for anyone but the driver so should it be rather comfortable. The main issue lying more in the hindrance to move freely, you should really try to stop, stretch and when you arrive move about a bit that is better for the body and the mind as well."

Looking for where the sleeper heads of to as she walks after Phoenyx and Striga, talking with the bald man as she walks. Keeping engaged to keep the friendly level they have besides their small slips were not bad to have. Waiting to see if there will be anything worth listening to there and if her question will be answered or if she will need to ask the curator of that later.

[Naga]

Naga's expression turned a little sour when Striga quickly moved to claim the attention of Ms. Sadie. The woman's attitude was starting to grate on the nerves. A small intake of breath, however, and her face was once more than picture of polite serenity.

"Yes, let's," she nodded to Phoenyx.

"Thank you for your help," she said to the curator, smiling, before she went with the Obrimos.

[Kaze]

Kaze smiles and nods as the helpful woman provides more information. Then when everyone seems ready to rush off to acquire the painting, he approaches the woman again.

"Thank you for all of your work and research, and being so helpful!" Kaze says. "Do you have a card or something, where I could contact you with more questions? I'm really into the history."

Then Kaze takes a last look around, to see if it seems like anyone else is interested in the painting, or if anyone looks like they are interested in any of the mages that rushed off, checking to see if they are being followed. Now seems like a great opportunity for him to spot surveillance on either the painting or the out of town mages.

He is tempted to stay and watch over the painting, in case someone snatches it while everyone else is gone, but in the end decides it's more important to follow the leader and head over with the others, bringing up the rear.

The curator is completely surprised by Kaze request, gushes and produces a business card with the name: ANGELA CRABBE inscribed on it with beautiful calligraphy. Pinned in place by the Obrimos' continued interest, she completely misses the significance of the sudden movement of the mages out into the gardens.

Kaze notes that no one else was even remotely interested in the painting. Only Striga Mortis, Satyricon, and the local Awakened had even noticed the artwork was there.

Striga Mortis set the pace as the group moved out into the sunlight. The gothic woman was unable to forge ahead: Phoenyx and then Naga caught up, and then kept pace with her. Striga couldn't exactly break away either, as her companion Satyricon laconically followed behind with Skye and engaging in small-talk - most of it about the joys, and woes, of travel along California's freeway's.

Striga Mortis reached the table with the punchbowl at the same moment that Phoenyx and Naga did. Her mouth wrinkled with annoyance which she masked by brushing her fingers through her long, dark, hair. Ms. Sadie was as she had been described: tall (one might say statuesque) with her red hair tied into a tight bun, business suit with heels (only adding to her impressive height). She had just concluded a transaction of her own and was returning to the punch bowl for some refreshment.

Sensing an opportunity, she laid her cup on the table and waited.

[Phoenyx]

"Ms Sadie?" The Obrimos asked, trying a small smile. "We were curious about one of the peices, and one of the cuators directed us to yourself. Would you be able to assist us?" She asked directly, but not impolitely.
