The blade, a savage, raw weapon, lashes out at Rhodes.

Were this the waking world, it would have buried itself in his torso.

But here... This was a place of the imagination, of the mind, and at this very moment the Autumn King's mind was alight with Fear. Primal, raw emotion of survival. And he knew how to ride that wave.

Leaning out of the attack, his legs still rooted, he braced himself firmly and swung his stall up in an arc as if to attack. But rather than strike with the staff, the ground itself rose and broke and followed the path of the weapon, forning an earthen fist that accelerated up towards the Huntsman.

Wolves were back, oh shit, oh shit. Suddenly they were on him snipping and snapping with their jaws. Rhodes had his battle and James had his own. He didn't have time to pay attention to Rhodes' duel with Wolves chomping at him. As the Wolves teeth bore down on him he focused on hi dream self and flickered out just as the teeth would sink in letting them pass through him harmlessly.

The Hounds snarl and howl! They had wanted blood and their prey was quick-fast! The go in to snap and tear once more and, again, their slavering jaws meet air!

The arrow sails past the Dread Lord, and suddenly the Fear loosens, just a little. Enough to think. To Act, in line with the dream around them.

The flames continue to lick the trees. With a flick of the staff, a mighty oak bends and creaks...

... and slams one of it's enormous boughs down towards the Huntsman.

The hounds were on him and giving him no reprieve, their jaws jumping and snapping. If this were the physical world he'd have already been torn to shreds. They were fearsome beasts of the hedge for sure. Thankfully this was just the dream and in the dream power went beyond your muscles. Rhodes had already set fire to the dreamscape earlier so James drew upon that, feeding it, dragging it in line timing it so when the wolves jaws snapped they'd hit fire pulling on the damage of fire and the primal fear it instilled.

[Saber Sloth]

The Huntsman, throws out a manic thrilled smile. Throws his cape into the air, it spins, and warps and twists. All petals and thorns, each and all honed to a razor's edge. Sailing through the air, the cape slices and pierces in those tender gaps under the Dread Lord's guard and between his armour.


The Hounds Howl! Burnt and burning! They lash out, fear and pain and the need to give what they've just received! Blinded and burning they miss.

Rhodes bares his teeth as the razor petals cut into his dream-flesh.

Whirling his staff over his head, the Autumn Mantle flares into a gust of wind, sweeping the Huntsinmans leave back toewards him and the winds filling with leaves of red and gold razor's edges glinting.

He scattered back two paces not sure if the fire was going to work or not but he swore he could smell the burning Briarwolves, it was an odd smell his brain trying to kill in the gaps of what a burning one might smell like. He flowed from fire to air, using the breeze of the dream to catch the floating embers of the fire, flowing them right into the hounds faces.

A roar as the wind slices through the Huntsman's defenses. From the shadows of the fallen cape more hounds appear. Shadowy and ravancess, exactly like the ones who ran. Sera. Down. In a rush they're in Rhodes' face snarling, tearing, ripping!


Wind and fire, friends and enemies, the embers smolder, and spark, the Hounds continue to howl in pain, even as mindlessly they continue forward. All teeth and bloody claws swiping at nothing, and crowing like they'd hit something.
