Circe matched Coco with the jazz hands, albeit one handed, "Hurray, I have a tequila nip if ya want one."

She then turns her attention to Charming with a nod, "Ah, privacy is good fer many a business I can respect that. But this Freehold of dragonslayers survives," blue lips smirk at the chef, "Your honesty is appreciated. And as a fellow merchant I can respect yer secrecy," Circe taps her crown as her tone suddenly goes hard as steel, "But as sovereign I must ask questions. I won't ask what the business is but does it would pose a danger to those I lead?"

"Hmm," she thinks on the name, "Liam? I knew a Liam once Goff, I might have drunkenly asked about Rambo arrows ahem. As ya can see I prefer Iron Sider weapons of a modern nature. But the wood cutting is familiar ta me. How's he doin' in the Bay? Last I heard ya had some problems with Autumn."

Well things seemed calm and easy going, not seeing anyone else around felt like a good sign as well. Dropping the rocks as she softly walks up to the group herself to be able to read and follow the situation better feeling hopeful that she would be able to escape into the mist again if needed. Walking on soft feet until she is just a couple of feet behind Coco and Circe, gently making a light curtsy towards the two not intending to hide her presence all to much but at the same time not feeling like talking to them either.

Giving a warm smile towards the fairest combined with a light wink trying to get on his good side in case she would have to be charming towards him in a second or two besides his animal ears were rather intriguing and kind of cute enough for her to be able to stand him easier than most men for a while at least.

Her eyes wandering around, not searching for John or showing any notion that she knew he was there just being careful and at the ready one never knew what might lurk in here and it was always better to be prepared than to get in trouble.

[Coco]

Well, well, it seemed the Queen was finally stepping up, so for once Coco shut up and let the situation play out for now. She simply stood there, hands resting on the head of her cane, her eyes on the two villains in front of them. She didn't believe they were here to do anything innocent for a second, though this wasn't because she was skilled in reading them like one of her companions. No, this was simply because she didn't like the look of their stupid faces or their stupid Bay area nonsense.

What was there to say, Coco generally didn't like most things anymore.

Whisper to Circe

"Charming is hiding something, you caught him off guard. Push the advantage."

The glamour infused his words and slipped through the shadows, curling up and slithering into Circe's ear; like a lover in the morning as you did everything to stay in bed one second longer, or the voice at the back of your head reminding you of your failings, softly suggesting you just weren't good enough. All from the comfort and safety of the mist, never having to move an inch to send word.

Charming paused his slow stirring and looked across at Circe, taking in the heat of her mantle and the ascendant crown manifest upon her.

The Fairest did not look away.

Goff grunted sourly.

"Liam is working overtime right now. The Pact between the Court's of the Bay has frayed. If you have heard of our troubles then you are right. Autumn is... yeah."

The waterborne Ogre's eyes drifted over to where Coco stood poised upon her cane.

[Circe]

Circe nodded at Goff's answer, "Yeah I heard a lot of bad things. Didn't ya hafta run out all the Autumns or most of them? Stories from refugees weren't always consistent." She was fishing for information. And being blatant about that. "Though I suppose I did meet that Liam, I recognize the cutting style. Always good ta see the work of a fellow artisan. He still making armor too?"

"Okay Charming but," she holds up her index finger, "Does that standard include the dragon we killed?" Then her middle finger, "A grabby tentacle monster?" Then ring finger, "Or green fugly wolves as yer standard fer danger? We have a wide variety of problems."

Keeping her position behind the two more capable fighters of the group, ready to fall back should she need to. Her eyes wandering around keeping track of all the things happening around them not really wanting to get into the talk with the two nor would she be of any use in a battle or well not much at least.

Fixing her hair and looking down whilst looking towards the fairest, lightly blushing and pretending to be a bit shy.

[Coco]

If their business presented ANY danger, that seemed to Coco to be a problem, but she was content to leave it to the Queen of the bloody freehold, for now.

Besides, even if they truly were there for some nefarious purpose, what would be the best course of action?

They couldn't detain them, such was anathema to who they'd become.

They could kill them, but the ghost of the last man she'd slain still haunted, even now.

[Yumyumcrow]

"Yeah." Goff grunted. He hadn't moved.

Charming bobbed his head and shrugged in a non-committal fashion. His brow furrowed as he spoke.

"That would be right. The Ashen Court had to be fractured. I... I won't bore you with the details but not all the Ashen were under the thumb of their Queen and a significant number sided with the wider Freehold. Enough to rebuild the Court after what had to be done. We lost quite a bit of influence in the Hedge, though, and that bought plenty of unwelcome chaos into the mix."

A ghost of a smile seeped across Charming's face as Yamiyo Lillich emerged from the mist. The effect of the Succubus' arrival was much more pronounced on the Ogre, whose agitated posturing came to a complete stop as Goff gazed openly and appreciatively. Charming clicked his teeth in annoyance at his companion's openness.

"No more danger than a motley...!"

Vexation crept into the Fairest's voice as Charming snapped. He recovered somewhat, but a nervous tick pulsed briefly over his left eye.

"The stew is ready. Join us. Then we shall be on our way and disturb you no more."

Charming smiled.

John watched from his position in the mist, watched Charming talk and bluster. If this was smoke and mirrors Charming was the smoke obfuscating his words and intent. His choice of words was deliberate, calculated, chosen. He meant to his his meaning and intent behind generalities, a common tactic in manipulation. He would know. He tilted his head to the side and smiled seeing the Ogre react to Yamiyo, there was more than one way to skin a cat…

Options were always nice to have. But there, that was the tell that was the tell, Charming really needed to work on his poker face. His lips curling up into a smile as his heart beat rapidly within his chest. Was this excitement? It was. He was excited, thrilled even, to be a fly on this wall overseeing the two groups and learning how to best manipulate the situation.

With the realization though his blood pumped cold, had he ever really left?
