Shadows move and seemingly part as a human sized spider with a hideously human head simply dances into view and snaps at the Arrow. Phoenyx moves too slowly as the monstrosity lands a perfectly aimed and timed bite. The abomination hisses lusciously with pleasure...
...And then frowns when Phoenyx doesn't exactly fall over. The monstrous spider does not even notice Guru
Not until he fires at her unnatural bulk.
Everyone else heard the sounds of a scuffle, muted by the intervening partitions of the house. Kaze definitely makes out the Arrow's gasp and Guru's responding cry. Everyone heard the shotgun blast rip through the thick silence enveloping the house.

Xadun Phoenyx will resist the Poison. However, she will incur a -1 penalty to reflect how woozy she is after taking a bumper sized infusion of paralytic toxin. She is still standing though. Mostly.

Anima's reaction is without thought, another is in danger!
He wants to rush up and help, but his role is sentry across the gauntlet. There isn't much he can do to help on this side.
Anima reflexively search's for more signs of danger in the Shadow, bas he moves closer to spirit he has under his thrall. The haze of the webs occlude his vision, details are hard to see. If there is more danger to be aware of on the other-side of the gauntlet it is impossible to see in this mess.

Blood thunders in Anima ears as the sounds rumble from above. He strains his eyes and searches for more threats beyond the veil.
He finds none.
In the attic, the Spider Woman emotes a sense of panic on her distorted face. She lunges (or is it leaps) across the intervening space and attempts to replicate the surprise strike that nearly felled Phoenyx.
But Guru see's her coming.
Yet despite his best effort, she still bites deep into an arm. Fortunately for the Shaman, the abomination's timing and preparation are completely off.
@Guru Shane will need to make a reflexive Stamina + Gnosis roll to resist the Poison in addition to his action.
GURU is UP!

The fangs sank into his flesh and he hissed through his teeth, spittle flying from between the small cracks and landing on his chin. He could feel the cold heat of the poison sink into his veins, could feel it push through his body and begin its journey to his heart. That was a problem for when the Spider was down though, he could flush his and Phoenyx's system easy but not if they were being eaten.
He could feel the stiffness in his muscles as the poison began to take hold, his reactions just that much slower. The injury, the poison, all of that had to be pushed to the back of his mind. He needed to help Pheonyx and he was by keeping it's attention. There was no Phoeynx to watch out for this time but the trigger took just that much more effort to pull as the next shot rang out, shell clattering to the floor the smell of gunpowder filling the attic. His ears weren't happy though, that was going to need addressed when there was a pause.
"Phoeynx is hurt!" Was all he could manage to get out during the struggle.

The Arrow staggered back as the spider lept off her. She could feel her vision swimming, her pulse pounding. If it could do that much to hurt her, they needed to take it down, fast. The sound of the Shotgun blasts are ringing in her ears.
Seeing it take a wild swing over towards Guru, Phoenyx brings up her pistol and fires squarely at the spider-lady.

The words struck a nerve.
Phoenyx was hurt.
A hand touches her bracelet as she calls upon Life to heal the Arrow. It wasn’t her best heal, but it would have to be ok for now.
Aurora casts Healing Heart on Phoenyx. With Life 5 it can cast at sensory range and heal aggravated damage as well.

And there we go, Kaze relaxes slightly in relief at hearing the handgun shots; he's heard Phoenyx shooting target practice way too many times not to recognize it. Phoenyx may be hurt, but she's not down!
Still, since there doesn't seem to be a log jam on the stairs or anyone shooting up through the opening, and since Aurora isn't giving any specific orders, it looks like the time for independent action!
"I'M ON IT!" Kaze shouts, moving smoothly up the stairs and into position to attack or dodge or something else once he sees what's going on and weather's whatever reception he gets!

StatusThings were happening fast... up in the attic. Naga grimaced in annoyance. She had no clear shot from down here on the second floor.
Perhaps some fancy Space magic could let her bounce a bullet up through one of the holes in the ceiling... but the Warlock wasn't that confidant in her shooting skills. Let's keep it simple.
She followed Kaze up the stairs to the attic.
Equipment: Smartphone, iron coin (magic tool), light revolver.

On the stairs, Anima holds his position and keeps an eye out for any more threats. The entity had had locked in place remains so for the moment, a weight pressing against his Will.
The Spider Woman is quite surprised when Phoenyx does not crumple to the floor. She is panic stricken when Guru reveals himself and she lunges. Without the benefit of ambush, the Shaman manages to put up a defence. His heart-beat hammers in his ears as the vile venom pours into his system; he feels his limbs quake, even as he manages to shake off the worst effects.
He can't stop the woozy sensation slowly clouding his mind, however. Fortunately for him, the Spider Woman had recklessly thrown herself at the mage. Pointing his shotgun and unloading another blast in her massive bulk was relatively simple.
Phoenyx finishes off the monstrous spider. Her body might be bent and staggered but her aim was straight and precise. The massive insect-woman hybrid drops like a heavy pile onto the already damaged floor, causing the ceiling on the floor below to groan dangerously.
Below, Aurora again demonstrates her Mastery of Life. Green threads spiral from her hands, forming a net that hurtles into the space above her head. She can tell that the commotion is more or less above her head, even if she can't say for certain where the Arrow stands precisely. Her luck and nerve holds - one of the threads connects with Phoenyx's Pattern at the last moment, grounding a small amount of healing vital energy into the wounded Arrow.
Kaze and Naga hurtle up the stairs and into the attic. They find Guru wounded, Phoenyx somehow standing despite looking hollow cheeked and afflicted with jaundice. And the slumped mass of a monstrous spider with a woman's head.
Combat over for now. The beastie recklessly went all out and sacrificed its Defence.
Shane Guru will suffer -1 penalty from the after effects of the Poison.
Xadun Orianna Phoenyx will heal 1 Lethal from the spell. I added a -5 penalty to reflect the difficulty of targeting by muffled sounds in a three dimensional space.
Mark Anima's holding spell is still active so the other potential threat is currently 'neutralised' on the other side of the Gauntlet.

Anima moves, squeezing around people and furniture, as he brings his full awareness to bear on the spirit. The feelings of spiderwebs sticking to his skin and clothing, of having to push through them forces a subconscious reaction at times. He is scene reaching up as if to push aside a curtain, but nothing is there. But to the Shaman the house he's standing in is a shadow of the shadow, as he concentrates on world beyond.
"What is you name?" he asks empty space. The vague outline gaining more detail as he draws near.
