Hector didn't realise he had been holding his breath, so intent on the altercation was he.
He released his breath in a long, careful sigh.
"I think we may have found them," he whispered. "Continue watching or chance it?"
Hector didn't realise he had been holding his breath, so intent on the altercation was he.
He released his breath in a long, careful sigh.
"I think we may have found them," he whispered. "Continue watching or chance it?"
Bleeds Well grunts.
"Odds are we're outnumbered. Charging in ourselves might not be the wisest."
His eyes unfocus as he looks across the hisil and looks upon the night club's reflection.
Across the Gauntlet

"Catch a glimpse?"
Hector has resumed watching, apparently unconcerned.
His flexing fingers tell another story.
Eyes clear and Bleeds Well gives Hector a shrug. “Looks like it could be the home of the demigorgon in the upside down. What do you wanna do?”
Now at last Hector's eyes flick to Bleeds Well.
"Hmmm. You the Rahu. What is your view? Me? I think we need to know for sure. But there is only two of us and it looks like there could be at least three of them in their. Maybe. Could be more. Or none. Do we risk confrontation with only us two, or do we go back and I summon the pack up here?"
A brief pause as he risked another look.
"No shame in withdrawing. We came to do some recon and we did just that. We definitely have some rivals hard on our flank and we have a probable location for their den. We have done our work. Still..."
He bit into his lower lip slightly and sucked air through his teeth.
Bleeds Well sniffs. "I hate to just bail, we're in no rush. We could hang out a bit longer, see if we can get a better count. And then I wanna piss on one of their territory markers before we withdraw. Better yet, I'd like to catch on alone."
Now Hector did turn his face to Bleeds Well.
And smiled. An awful, awful smile.
"Yeah. We got all night. Let's wait things out and see what happens. If Luna smiles on us we get lucky, like you want. And we can pick one of 'em off, real quiet. I definitely want to piss on one of their markings."
After that, the Alpha wolf settled back in for a long vigil.
As the Cahalith and Rahu had discussed options the light playing through the back windows of the building had remained uninterrupted. Then as the pair quiets down the light source is momentarily obscured and then seemingly turned off. Only faint ambient light illuminates the glass now. Not really enough to get an idea of what's going on just on the other side of the wall.
Maybe thirty minutes later there's no sign of the man who was pulled inside and the ambient light shining at the glass windows has been undisturbed for nearly as long.
Thumpthump Thumpthump Thumpthump
The Rahu gives Hector a side eye and a smile, inaction can only last so long before his blood sings for the hunt. "I'm going to get closer, see if I can hear what's going on inside. Cover me."
His form shifts, moving to four legs as he slinks into the dark. The midnight wolf is a wraith of vengeance, moving through the shadows with ears like radar dishes alert for any sound or indication of what could be going on beyond that door.
