(2004) Consilium - Venus in Converse

[Phoenyx]

The Arrow returns from the side, looking over the mages and the movements. The Thyrsus seem to be going for a small discussion of their own.

Winter announces the results of their discussion. It had formalised everything. Made it done properly. She gestures one arm to him, rather than bother repeating.

Councillor Phoenyx takes up her usual place back at the walls, where she can observe everyone and the doors.

Time to see if there was anything left to go through with this Concillium.

[Briar Rose]

Did she....did she have to, y'know. Talk to them. Go over there and stick her foot in it, when it was clearly between Aurora and Anima and not her like, at all.

Because, sweet, blessed, holy fuck. Anima. Fuck.

Heading over to the Thyrsus Side thread

[Tyche]

The pear was pretty decent actually.

Tyche had nothing to add really, aside from a glance here and a glance there. Things slowly progressed forward. Albeit achingly so as the Shamans decided to have a powwow of their own.

Sometimes fruit in the mouth was good, but it didn't keep the Acanthus from granting an eyeroll at the whole situation. Silent as she was, the Enchanter's general frustation remained, albeit simmered and controlled.

Then a swallow and a glance to Abacus before mouthing two simple words: 'You're good.'

Then a smirk and a return to the delight in her hands. There was no reason to challenge Abacus. She was curious about some of his motivations, but he had not done anything wrong really aside from the whole trying to leave the matter to the Guardians when it came to Winter. Tyche knew the Council would never let that slide. Otherwise, no reason occurred to the Enchanter to challenge his Wisdom.

Yet.

[Kaze]

Kaze looks pretty relaxed and content and interested in the proceedings as he continues to silently take small bites of his protein bar which is apparently pretty chewy as he's chewing quite a while between small bites, really making it last almost as if he expects things to go on for a while longer.

With his sentence pronounced and settled and the leadership for his Path established, things seem a lot more stable and defined then they were when he first arrived. All good. Kaze determines to continue to look for good developments without his saying or doing anything to try to influence them.

He watches the new guy settle in with some interest.

[Abacus]

The Paths consolidated around him. That left only him and Tyche. It seemed she shared his train of thought.

You're good.

Was that supposed to reassure him? The volatility of this so-called body politic made safety just as fleeting as words. It simply bought him time.

Weigh the odds. Assess the risk. And there was that itch; that need. But she would know. Her eyes could follow just as far as he could, if not more. He had no idea how far Fate had led her.

She made no attempt to hide her derision. But she was an Acanthus and had no doubt learned the value of patience.

A long game, then?

Message received. He would return the smile. Light and fleeting. Another query to add to the pile. She should have been the first line item. But Consillium ranked far more important. That was a mistake he wouldn't make again. Abacus would sooner have her stand with him, rather than someone he'd have to withstand.

[Naga]

So the Theurgists selected a new Councilor, to replace the admitted criminal. And now the Shamans were having their own sidebar. Naga watched the comings and going with curiosity, but she remained silent.

There was little for her to engage with at the moment, and she herself was still an unknown quantity to this Consilium.

So she waited in silence, and observed.

Or was it voyeurism? Eavesdropping was done surreptitiously, wasn't it? There's nothing remotely surreptitious about the way his face animate, hisses, and oohs like someone watching a Pay-Per-View smackdown. It's pretty brutal, but honestly? Apparently Anima's doing more thinking about the situation than anyone would have given him credit for.

He turned back from his torso-twisted arm up over the seat back staring to up-nod Campanella.

"That, like, some of the official Mysterium chronicle of Sac-town?"

[Aurora]

Walking back in, she returns to her seat.

"Apologizes for holding up the meeting." but things had to be handled, and the Shaman sits.

[Anima]

Anima returns as well, "Master Aurora will be assuming the role of Councilor for the Ecstatic Path," collecting his attache and orange peel he finds a new seat.

[Winter]

"Oh Lord", the plot twists keep coming, like an episode of Maury minus the pregnancies.
And Aurora is photogenic, which makes it all the more enjoyable.
On his way to the back benches he slides his wedding band off his finger, dropping it in his pocket.
