Spring Solstice 2020

[Mable Wood]

Mable smiled softly at the small group. "I will now add some of my blood and bury the roots. Please prepare." Mable looked at everyone before cutting her hand and dripping blood into the hole. She offered the knife to anyone else who wanted to add their blood.

[Dirt Nap]

Dirt Nap accepts, stepping forward without a word, only nodding and proceeding to cut the back of his hand enough to squeeze out some blood to drip into the hole. He returns the knife, handle first and steps back to observe the rest of the ritual.

[Alice Hart]

Alice draws her own athame from the folds of her shift, and easily draws the blade across her wrist. She offers her own vitae to the earth, and to the Spring.

She doesn't yet close the wound, nor does she cease it's blood flow. But she does easily wipe the blood off her ritual blade, before returning it to it's place. Her ghoul follows the motions, with noticeable pain upon her pretty face.

"And, now we welcome you," Alice says into the air, the hot breath of Zephyrus kissing her lips.

Edward did not reach for the knife. While he wasn't so sure about magic, he had seen first hand the power of the blood. Offering his own seemed unwise.
He listens and watches attentively.

[Mable Wood]

Mable nodded to each as they approached and then to Edward as he declined. "Thank you all." She bent down and buried the treasures offered along with the tree roots with a fine rich soil made with her own fertilizer. A final few pats and she stood.

"I sincerely thank you for joining in on this celebration. Would anyone care for a tour of the gardens with me?" She knew Edward had a walk through the gardens, but she had promised Alice a tour and the others could join them if they wanted.

[Dirt Nap]

Dirt Nap watches the rite steadily, unnaturally still and quiet and not breathing.

He is equally still and silent for a long moment after it ends and Mable invites them all to tour the garden.

Then he nods. "It would be my pleasure, Ma'am, Keeper Wood." Dirt Nap says softly, waiting to follow her lead to see what is new since the last time he toured the farm and its land. The last time he'd suggested livestock, as he recalls. It would be interesting to see what animals lived in the area, both the ones that were deliberately kept and cared for and the invasive and predatory species.

Alice bows her head, her jerking movements unsightly even with her artificially emulating life.

"That would be enjoyable Mable." She says, having not been to the Farm before now, as now it was more Mable's place then the Dolls. The Nature Warden who'd revived this place, verses the Wraith who watched it burn, then did nothing to replant.

"That sounds lovely, Mable." It would be nice to hear about what he was trying to enjoy before.
