With open arms and an open mind he welcomes the familiar weight of Pandemonium. What should be is made painfully manifest as hundreds of screams lash against the lie, and a sliver of truth bubbles outwards.
"Hmm", he grunts, focusing on those faltering presences, now freed from the artifact's monolithic yoke. Could they even detect the lingering thoughts of the Wise who came before them?
He begins to unravel the tangle. A psychological autopsy of thoughts that are no more, just to glean a hint of truth. What's the actual purpose of the clock?
"C-can you feel it?", he asks eagerly, "Can you touch it? It's weak but invading all around"

The familiar sensitivity to psychic impressions had flooded back into his senses. The question before Pixel was how to pierce the white noise and hear what this artifact had to tell them.

"I can." He smirked as he looked to Winter. "And we're about to find out."

And with that he turned their attention back to the clock, scouring the contraption for new information.

Pixel takes the lead now, diving into the Resonance in search of the individual who ultimately created the Clock. Sweat beads on his brow and dampens his shirt, such is his singular effort.

They already have the caster's signature. Now they have his - and it definitely is a he! - Resonance as well*.

Pixel pins down the mysterious caster further: a Master of both Space and Time arcana.

The nuances of Mind take the most time to unpack. The caster was one of four who worked together to craft the spell^; he was the one who ultimately cast the spell. They all were motivated by determination and a sense of duty - by the desire to bring a decisive end to something; though the caster had some less altruistic goals as well - shame a rival and to test a limit. Oddly, there is another sliver of Resonance related to another one of the four - happiness.

*The caster / creator of the Clock has a Resonance of Dream and Music (if the characters wish to translate the Music resonance further they will need to make Intelligence + Academic / Investigation / Expression check). The Dream Resonance is reflective of a day dreamer, not a specific dream or connection to astral space / journeys per se.

^Four Arch Mages worked on this spell, in different times and places. A number of lesser mages were also involved but their individuality is eclipsed by the four - and their single minded drive to make an End.

And thanks to the E-Sux, you gain a further insight regarding the quality of the Resonance.

While scrutinizing the clock the qualities of duty and determination were not to surprising. The one ups man-ship though? It's good to know that even the arch masters of myth and legend still clung to such human emotions as competitiveness and a desire to push the envelope.

"Four people on point." Pixel looks to Winter. "Other casters are staying anonymous. Different points and times which is a new one for me when casting. If you can find a name I got what I need for a Finder. Which, relevant because the guy that started the casting is in Sacramento."

The Warlock rubs his eyes, the wear of two extended scrutinies setting in.

"You mentioned Aurora right? Was she around before the clock? Is there any chance she could describe the people who came before?"

He falls silent and looks at the clock for a second.

"Unless there are actual spells in the Time arcanum you could use to get a more detailed history. Like how I scry through Space? Or different. I dunno."

He's heard it, when Camilla was teething, the radio was the only thing that would calm her down. What was the name of this Air?
