Hector huffs.
<<Spirit. You respected. We Urdaga pass through on hunt. Let us pass. We make no issue with you unless you stop us>>
The Alpha was not done on diplomacy just yet. Not now that the entity was talking, at least.
<<We come from Tur. Sacred Ground. Our jurisdiction extends further. Let us by so we may hunt!>>
A flash of irritation: he raked the claws of one fore paw on along the ground to underline his point; his urgency; his need.
It's pretty clear by now that Roadwork-Ahead doesn't care squat about werewolf heritage or duties. But the fact that they are not alone here, with spirits of coyotes, fire and explosions skulking close by, presents new opportunities.
He shifts to Dalu.
<<Coyote and fire spirits hide nearby. Fight with us, and they will devour you while you are weak, as is their nature. Rent by claws and burned by flames, you will leave the passage unregulated>>
It was easier to deal with spirits once you notice the patterns. One of those is the fact that, unlike humans, they are slaves to their own natures.
<<Work with us, and you will uphold your purpose. We may be able to assist each other. Both your and our kind are ultimately about Order, after all>>

I forgot about bookkeeping
The Rahu can't help but screw up his face at Allen's remark about sleeping spirits.
Why do we need to battle sleeping spirits? Or coyotes for that matter.
He says nothing though and lets the diplomats have their day.
The sirens get louder, soon everyone can hear the wail of an approachingchoirmob.

sorry I fell behind, was too hungover yesterday lol
Hector makes no sound.
His posture shifts, ripples. To those that could see and understand, his lupine form gave a shrug. It was a nonchalant 'oh well' kind of gesture aimed squarely at his pack.
The Alpha bared his teeth. And lurched toward the spirit... Getting complacent, the Alpha was way too slow this time.
I haven't included an attack because, well, Hector scored 1 on his initiative. I have included the stuffed up initiative roll (Initiative is a roll not a skill pool, d'uh!) for reference and transparency.
Hector has an total Initiative 8
<<Like yeah, maybe we can come to some arrangement>> Emily adds to Allan's argument.
"Wait. Chief, wait- nononono.... aw, fuck."
Emily tries to keep up, but things are going pretty fast.
Emily's Hishu initiative is 5, so that's 9.
The spirit obstinance fails to evoke any reaction at all, in fact Allen prepares a retort, encouraged by Emily's words.
But then everything goes to shit.
This is why we can't have nice things... if the tiniest obstacle produces hostility we can't hope to ever...
...Ah, fuck it. But guess whose job will it be to pick up the pieces after?
Allen's total Initiative is 8 - the same as Hector's. His Dex+Comp score is 5 for the purpose of breaking the tie. Let me know if I still need to roll
Right when it seemed like they were getting somewhere with the object spirit, Alpha's patience runs out.
Bleeds Well only looked relaxed. Of course the Dalu was ready for action.
