The shaman gives an annoyed glanced at the Mastigos councilor, then casts a gaze around the room before leaning forward and nodding.

"I agree, one month seems an appropriate amount of time. It seems there are no objections, so let us finalize this matter and move on."

[Pixel]

Pixel rolled his eyes at the silence certain members of the Council were offering the group.

"Shouldn't it be under the Council's watch?" Pixel looked to the Council of Wise, though his attention clearly lingered on Winter. "Just curious why the Guardians and not the Council that passed the judgment."

Pixel wouldn't want to be alone in a cell with a Guardian after breaching the veil and he doubted anyone else wanted to. Besides, it sounded like a lazy Council wanted to set a precedent to outsource the fallout for it's decisions. Or Winter wanted things in house. Probably the former, not that it was better.

[Winter]

"The Council will pass the judgement. Council you're no part of and therefore have no right to interrupt, Herald", the Guardian's heavy gaze lands squarely on the Mastigos, kneecapping the younger man's argument with brutal efficiency. "We could always arrange for you to be his warden", he then addresses the rest of the council.
"Traditionally the burden of executing a decree has fallen on the shoulders of an anonymous Interfector, unless the Council opts for an alternative solution with a simple majority vote", it was a heavy burden for the Guardians involved, but the Obrimos was hopeful that the threat of a swift Sanction would dissuade the locals from further breaches of the veil, in the long term it would be worth the investment.

[Aurora]

Was this going to be a Council of two?

Arms fold across her chest as she leans back and crossed her legs. She was expecting maybe more thoughts and opinions.

Whatever. She trusted Winter’s judgement, not only as a Guardian, but as someone who had proven to be Wise.

[Anima]

“The perpetrator is an apostate, who better than the guardians of the Veil to guard a veil breached? If you and your order wish to take on the burden of jail warden in this singular instance to save the time and effort of appointing an anonymous Interfector so we can move forward for this, then I agree. We do need to privately appoint an Interfector for future needs. We should not be reliant upon a singular order to carry out Council rulings. “

He glances at the Mastigos councilor, “I believe we have a majority and can move on now.”

[Pixel]

"Sure, I'll play sentinel for a bit."

He shrugged, objecting less to Winter's offer then the idea of having an Interfetor chill around the Circle for a month.

"With Kaze's consent I can drop a Space spell and we'll know for certain he stayed in his cell for his sentence." He glanced over to the Apostate. "Unless you'd rather I just ward the cell? But that wouldn't stop you from just changing form and flying off or transmuting the bars into string cheese."

He figured the Finder would fly. Someone who knew about his charges and stuck around to face them wasn't going to run off now by Pixel's reckoning. He clearly had a reason to stick around and Pixel was content to use it for their mutual benefit.

But then Anima.

"Dude, we're both Free Councilors. You know we don't speak for each other. My point is that we don't need a masked executioner going one on one with every single delinquent when a Sentinel can just do their regular job and babysit the lawbreaker."

[Winter]

It was clear from the looks he was giving the young man, that playtime was over and another interruption wouldn't be tolerated, especially one that disrespected a fellow Councilor. If the Hierarch's gamble was going to pay off, it better be soon, because right now a Libertine Herald was a liability more than anything else.
"I said. Don't. Interrupt. The Council"

The Herald insults him again.

The Shaman takes a deep breath, like fresh oxygen is hitting the souls of his feet. The capillary reflex in his pinky toes are phenomenally fast right now should he wish to test it. He opens his suitcase and pulls out an orange. While the formal sentinel is being all super scary he begins to peel his orange. This orange, it's sweet home grown nectar, is soothing.

"Herald, if you are not informing the Council of new Solitaires or member cabals at this time, please, Dude, let us get through this business."

A sweet, slice is peeled away from the ripe fruit in his hand. Juices falling halphazerdly in his lap with no notice from the doctor. He pops the slice in his mouth, with all the uncouth speech flying around, he's lost his taste for formality and manners.

"With one month agreed upon. It should be the Council warding the cell to ensure our jail bird doesn't fly the coop. I can ensure he doesn't sneak away in the shadow, and I'm sure Councilor Winter will not allow... whatever. But we're lacking active council members and a proper sentinel. Star was deputized for a short time. Will he be accepting the full-time position, or should we appoint a new Sentinel here and now to the task. Master Aurora, has my vote for the role, should she be willing to accept it."

Holy incarceration escalation, Consilium man.

This is why it's hard to like the Free Council. Was Kaze watching how he just went from getting a babysitter to sitting in a cell? Yikes. This is probably someone's cue to feel a tiny sliver of remorse for bringing this down on Mister P90X, but it's so gosh-darned hard to be remorseful about anything while eating ice cream. Totally why it's the go-to for being upset. True story.

Side note?

Little Orphan Pixel sure is burning through Daddy Campbucks' credit fast.
