What the...
I am Jack's double-take.
For a minute, it looks like Aurora's gotten rid of her nipples. Like, poof. Because Thyrsus. It's doable. Which raises the interesting question that, since nipples define pornography, if she had -- could she walk around topless? It's not his fault. If her hair were pulled back and the top had, like, a colored border to define the edge? With the hair covering the transition from fabric to skin, well, it's a heck of an illusion.
It's almost as riveting as the whole Ross and Rachel thing that Anima and Winter are doing.
Will he? Won't he? Oh, no. But, but. He's just a solitaire, standing in front of another solitaire... The reaction to the drama is clear on the angel's face; animated, following the discussion.
"Man. That was great. Like our own little magical slice of a Judd Apatow comedy," he nodded at the pair. "Like, major train-wreck. I couldn't look away. You're not wrong, though. About the whole cabal thing? Like the first part. Props, though. Putting all your business out in public takes guts."
Coming from a Guardian? That's not a compliment, yo.
"And, sure. Ice cream cake counts. You know it's also Baked Alaska Day, right?"
There are no 'private rooms' in Consilium.
Kaze arrives and enters, nodding respectfully to Aurora and Winter and generally waving to a greeting to everyone else with a nod to Shodan. He's wearing a typical ensemble, solid black tee shirt under a brown leather jacket, black trousers and black and white athletic shoes.
"Hey everyone." He says in a tentatively friendly tone. He looks around for who is there already, and who isn't there yet.
It was crowded enough for the book to lose its salience. His eyes and ears had become all too focused on the Wise around him. Abacus sat up in his chair, hands folded.
"Do we take minutes at these things, or is it etched into a Watchtower that we can check later?"
It was an attempt at humor. Anything to get whatever resembled a ball in this place rolling. Concerns. Questions. What they ate for dinner last night.
Question asked, answer given.
And here comes the snark.
"It's no well-protected secret that I'm an odd character. Thank you. "
The walker of the Primal Path finds his seat and stands behind it, waiting for the Hierarch to arrive.
Campanella emerges from the cloister dressed in his robes and a business suit. He has been called a throwback to an Edwardian professor and there is no denying it: apart from the lack of a mortar-board, the Hierarch does look like a refugee from an earlier academic age.
At least on this occasion, he does not come out swinging an incense fuelled censer.
The Hierarch moves with relatively swiftness to the front. Along the way he acknowledges those he sees with a serious of small nods and smiles.
"Welcome. Welcome... I see we are missing more than a few..."
Campanella's words begin strongly and then fade out slightly as he makes a quick head count.
"Lets wait a few more moments. Then we shall begin."
Hope Anima realizes there was no privacy while here. If not? That was his problem, not hers. You want private, you met outside an Official gathering.
Looking to Winter, who she still needed to sit down and talk to, a smile and nod. Though it was still odd to be referred to as Master. It wasn’t something she had broadcast since returning. Oh well.
“Hi Pixel, how are you?” hopefully he would be less skittish this time around. And there wouldn’t be a repeat of the last get together.
A smile and nod was offered to Morgan as she entered. With less flare than last time, and she had to wonder what changed.
Star wasn’t wrong. Personally, if she was joining a Cabal, she’d discuss it outside the Circle and prying ears.
Wait, “Baked Alaska Day too? Not something I’d pair with ice cream.” Though she found it amusing.
Waving, “Hey Kaze.”
Take minutes? Was he being serious or what? Not knowing who he was, she keeps quiet for now.
Odd character? Sure, lets go with that.
As Campy entered, she nodded her head, “Hierarch.”
"Glad the show was enjoyable", now, moving on something more worthy of their time, his chin juts toward the Hierarch, "Who's missing? Magus Phoenyx, the other Mystagogue and the new girl?", it wasn't the most respectable way to address his fellow Awakened. But again, if one couldn't bother to be on time for an important meeting, then they didn't have the highest consideration of their peers to start with. Respect breeds respect.
Though, the Arrow's absence was odd.
"Whoops, sorry." comes a sheepish voice, "Lost track of time there." pink locks tied back, jeans dark, and wearing the same leather jacket as the other time she was since within the Circle, Briar Rose strokes in, paint dried and stained on her hands and licking up her forearms, seen when she moves her arm to scratch over her clavicle.
With slow deliberate steps she walks over to Morgan , then offers the Moros a smile and a wiggle fingers wave.
"I think we need to get a sundae bar going for these meetings. Homemade ice cream, all the toppings."
It'd certainly be easier to stay awake if Pixel's blood was two parts sugar.
"I'm good. Not failing anything yet so that's a plus." He smiles to the Master. "You?"
When Winter speaks about who they're still waiting on, 'the other mystogogue' stands out to Pixel.
"That would be Councilor Papilio. He should be around soonish."
Hopefully. Pixel didn't know if the wanderer had resumed his travels but it sounded like Papilio could at least be counted on to say such before leaving. Oracles knew the guy was saving Pixel from stepping into the worst job ever, so the benefit of the doubt was the least Pixel could offer after not even voting for him.
There is the sound of boots cracking on the stone floor and the First Talon slips in the door. She is wearing her long trench coat and has her hair tied back - it looks a little unkempt and greasy. "My apologies for my lateness," she offers quietly. "I was practicing some of the arcana and lost track of time." She inclines her head to the Hierach, Winter and Aurora, before taking up her expected place at the side of the room.
"Have I missed anything important?"
