Sonnie took out her phone and double checked the news stories, so she could find the reported date of the fire and relate it to the others.

Bugul had made it known he would help with the investigation. He would await when the one worthy of leading their efforts would relay her findings and give her orders.

"The date is from few weeks ago. Assuming the Queen reported Sir Abe's demise immediately, it predates the alleged murder", she relays. "We should collect some samples of the fruit. So that I might analyze it", she looks annoyed at the - likely smelly - stain,"But I haven't bought any equipment. So, it might be necessary to collect a sample by recovering a patch of the carpet"

Regardless, Sonnie leaned down to sniff at the stain again. This time, she aimed to identify the type of goblin fruit used here. Was her olfactory sense that refined?

Sonnie can't identify the stain, she doesn't know enough to certainly link this scent to a fruit. But, she does know that the more she smells it, the more she smells passed just the wyrd touch of fruit juice she scents something that make it harder for her to keep her eyes open. With a great breath in, she feels like she could nod off to dreamland.


A receipt and a stain from room 20, there are other rooms to search, and they know they haven't found the room the fire started in, the room Abe died in.

With a start, she scrambled back from the stain, shaking her head as if to clear it. She hissed at the carpet marking as if it were a threat. The Steepscrambler gasped, then covered her nose and mouth with her hands.

"Ahh! Um, don't sniff that thing too closely! It was making me sleepy!" One hand rubbed her eyes before she blinked them repeatedly. "Oh, maybe they used this goblin fruit to drug the people they were kidnapping! Man, what a bunch of creepy bastards!"

One last growl at the fruit stain, and she turned to depart this particular room, eager to leave the rufie scent behind. "Well, come on, Scooby Gang! The rest of these rooms won't check themselves out. What's next on the list?"
