Pieces of rats fly as Matt digs into and through the swarm. Despite the flecks of blood and parts the damage seemingly does nothing to the Rage inside of Matt. The Swarm continues to scurry away ignoring those who are to weak and foolish enough to be caught.

Hector had barrelled into the moving mass. The vermin shrieked and squirmed.
They ran over him.
They flowed under him.
They chittered around him.
The Alpha's growls were becoming ever more frenetic and aggressive. His hands and feet flew wildly through the retreating mass.

Limbs and tails fly as the pack digs into the fleeing swarm but the swarm continues to frantically scramble away. As the front of the swarm reaches the darkness its clear that the pack isn't making any progress in actually harming the swarm.
Unless the hunt continues the swarm will disappear into darkness with a final chant of <<Half-breeds!>>. The darkness almost seems to expand as the swarm enters it before slowly retracting. As the darkness finishes ?exhaling? the sound of scrambling feet and hisses fades away.
Unless the hunt continues combat is over.
I'm sorry for the confusion regarding the later half of this fight. I'll work to be more clear in future combat.

The Rahu starts walking back from whence they came, a glance to Hector for affirmation. <<Weapons>> Be it allies, fetish, or gift it is clear to the warrior they don't have the strategic resources necessary to battle the swarm. He looked about him, his lips quivering around his exposed gums and sharp teeth.
"So should we. I scared off most of the herd, but stories will get out."
He let his gaze fall on Emily.
"Contain. Or draw it out to one spot were we can hit it. We need to think."
