Rising Tensions

[Phoenyx]

"Because you never told me. It wasn't a secret, you didn't promise someone not to tell me, you didn't make an oath.

You just didn't."

Phoenyx's voice has lost all feeling. Though she's facing him, her eyes never leave the floor.

"Just go."

She's clearly holding up her emotions, though fury or tears is impossible to say.

[Kaze]

"Phoenix, I... I'm really sorry...." Kaze can't help himself from saying it again. "I... won't say anything to anyone. Whatever you decide to say or do, I understand. I won't contradict you. I'll back you up."

Then he sighs and backs out quietly, gently easing the door closed behind him.

Phoenyx doesn't turn around as the door closes.

A single tear runs town her cheek.
