[Mobius]

The initial urge is to resist the magic thrust upon her if she could, but she doesn't. She allows her sight to be subsumed by a new one. Pulling away from the Mastigos' hand reflexively, her gaze darts around anew - taking in the unsettling nature of their surroundings as if seeing it in hi-def for the first time.

"B-badgers?" her dumbfounded reply, still adjusting.

Letting the others who actually saw things go first

Spark eyed the roof, not trusting it's integrity. Then his attention was focused on the unbroken mirror, showing a ghostly wraithlike image of himself. He paused outside the room, smart thing to do would be to close the door and keep moving or at least alert the others. What ever I do I should not step into this room alone. So of course he stepped towards the room without informing anyone. His foot on the threshold before he finally broke through whatever fog of stupid had clouded his mind for a brief moment.

"There's a mirror here," ​Spark shined his light onto the unbroken glass.

[Anima]

It would seem the good doctor will need to see the dead after all. Papilio gifts him with the sight, and then a sight is before him.

"I aint' afraid of no ghosts." He whispers softly under his breath.

He's fascinated, the shaman studies the ghost. But his brain is having trouble processing what he is seeing. He glances to Papilio for guidance.

"This is your field of expertise I believe."

Three stand beneath the ghost as it crawls across the ceiling, completely oblivious to their presence. Mobius Papilio Anima can hear the ghost's laboured, gulping, gasping breath as it frantically searches for something apparently hidden in the ruined ceiling.

Spark see's none of that. He is only aware that the rest of the party has stopped while he explores halts at the threshold of the room - an office space surely by its general size and dimensions. Apart from the full length mirror, there are only stacked chairs and tables filling out the space.

The mirror is full length, a curious blend of austere lines that somehow evoke a sense of the ornate. Not even a build up of dust and grime can take the sine and lustre from its reflective surface. At the foot of the mirror lies a pile of drapery.

Nothing seems to happen...

[Mobius]

Badgers. Right.

Mouth agape, Mobius could feel the hairs on the back of her neck stand up on end as she watches the ceiling above. The apparition struck her with a severe sense of unease, very uncanny valley, and she took a few steps backwards. She wanted to look to Spark, and see what he might have found as Papilio had suggested but she couldn't look away - too struck but this surreal experience.

"Uhhh.. yeah, I'm just fine with being anywhere else." She whispered, worried about drawing attention to herself.

[Spark]

"It's a mirror, it's still intact and clean and...uh...my reflection looks...off."

That was putting it mildly of course, but well fine details could wait. Spark looked back at what they were dealing with. "Wait ghost? You guys found a ghost?" Spark followed their gazes to the Ghost in question, out of reflex he backed up into the door frame. "SHIT!" The man was not as mentally prepared as he thought he was. Letting out a sigh and regaining his composure. "This room is empty if you wanna try to wrangle it in here," Where were Egon and Ray when you needed them?

Spark's Sight does not detect Ghosts, nor does he have an Active Speak With the Dead spell placed on him.

[Anima]

Ghost wrangling huh? Unfortunately, the shaman lacks a lasso.

"I left my proton pack in the car." Anima walks over to Spark, apparently unconcerned about the ghost in the rafters.


"Lets check out this mirror of your's." He peers past his fellow libertine into the room, gazing intently at the object. His intense, focused gaze shifts between sights, seeing it both spiritual and with the grim sight, unveiling it's secrets.

Spark turns, steps back - slams right into the remains of the doorframe and gets a shower of dust and debris for his trouble. His startled cry cuts through the becalmed gloom like a hot knife through butter.

Nothing appears to happen...

Papilio, Mobius and Anima hustle over to where the Mighty had found the side room. The mirror positively shines in their combined light. The mirror gleams a little more unnaturally too. Not a lot. A subtle rime that indicates a resonance linked - or associated - with the purview of Death (Grim Sight).

And yes, Spark's image does appear slightly off, wraith-like; so does Papilo's for that matter.
Anima is much more focussed, his deeply searching gaze revealing his Scrutiny for all to see. There is a reason the mirror carries a subtle association with the Death Arcanum. The object is magical: but it is not a Supernal magic. This power comes from the Fallen World.

Anima now recognises the mirror's magical signature. He will be able to recognise it again in the future.
