Kaze returns Shodan's collective nod and smiles back at October, "Hey, glad to see you again." he says in greeting. He smiles and retunrs Mobius' wave.
With the recent influx of new faces the Consilium had gradually returned to a semblance of normality. As much as the Sentinel would find so many visitors unexpected, and it's reflected in his wholly casual attire, he doesn't find them unwelcome. So, he takes his time to assess the crowd, pleased by the state of the reborn Consilium, before he too gets drawn by the Hierarch's manuscript.
Mystagogues kept their possessions - mystical or otherwise - in a tight grip, that the Hierarch was flaunting the goods so casually meant he was either out for goodwill or the item wasn't particularly dangerous. Was it related to his mysterious sorces?
Knowledge, the Guardian thought bemused, is always as dangerous as the person carrying it, nevertheless he'd trust the Hierarch's judgement... for now.
The sound of hurried feet can be heard down the corridor, and Phoenyx sweeps into the room, leather coat flowing out behind her like the wings of a bird revealing the simple outfit as well as the knives and pistol that form a part of her usual attire. Her gaze looks around the room before she slips into the same place she stood last time - the spot that lets her easily watch both the room and the doors into the atrium - and stands there, taking a deep breath.
Things seemed calmer than last time at least, but she was curious what there would be to say. There were a lot of new faces.
Mobius squints, and scrunches up her face involuntarily. Not too concerned at all with appearing to snoop, she typically had trouble controlling her curiosity. Just what was that book? Could she convince the Hierarch to let her read it?

Mundane paraphernalia?
"What like baseball cards and stamps?" The Obrimos smirked as his head tilted just slightly to the side. "Or are we talking about something interesting?"
Of course Campanella was a Mystogogue so he might just tell Cosmo to fuck off, but he didn't get the impression Campanella was that forceful. That and nothing more interesting was being discussed, so Mysterium collectibles it was.
Oh look, a wild mage appeared.
"Cosmo, Obrimos and Acolyte of the Silver Ladder."
Shodan gets a thin lipped smile from the Thyrsus. "Possible, perhaps I can help you? That is one of the many mysteries that remain to be seen." He tries to keep eye contact with Shodan, he really does, but it's hard with Cosmo and October in the room. No matter which direction he turns his head, one of them remains in his field of vision and his eyes inevitably drift over to them.
Then Cosmo speaks to him, Anima half stands and starts to hold out a hand, but stops himself when he remembers he has a notepad in it. He settles on giving the Obrimos a polite wave with the yellow legal pad. "Greetings, Anima, Libertine." He nods politely at the other friendly face. "Please, don't delay starting the meeting on my account. I'm eager to see how things are run in our state capital."
Campanella's face remained still as Anima introduced himself.
"Anima. Welcome."
He turned back to Cosmo, a soft smile spreading over his face.
"No. Nothing as exciting as baseball cards. The Athenaeum turned into a store room once most of the Order withdrew from town. It needs a bit of clean out, I must admit. I simply bought this out for an airing. And a chance to peruse it at last, given the book has been stuck on a shelf while we were under threat from the Seers. And yes, it does appear that this book is a grimoire."
A subtle declaration from the Hierarch on a return to... normalcy... perhaps? An opening for those willing to bargain? The Consilium had lost so much through the tribulations of the Time War that even one solitary grimoire could appear as a treasure beyond price. The Hierarch let his eyes slip from the Apostate, over the new Mystagogue Mobius and drift back to the Libertine Anima
"As for how things are run here? We gather here at the Circle of Creation for a meeting around once a month. Given our small and ever changing population there is no Council as such. I am Hierarch and we have a Sentinel in Winter . I consider my role more as an arbiter and custodian than a leader. Given the small nature of our Consilium, everyone has a voice should they wish to use itt; much like your Assemblies, if I am not much mistaken? The Circle is open to all who oppose the Lie."
A pause while he looked over the Awakened gathered there.
"So I am given to understand that many of you are already preparing to follow up the note our... Ally... presented to us, yes?*. Good. I have nothing further to add, so the floor is open to whomever has something to discuss."
He gestured with his free hand.
The duties storyline is 'happening' at around the same time as this scene so there is no need to discuss it here.
@Mobius DeepSeas the book appears to be a medieval codex that has survived the years in good order
Whatever it was, the book was old for sure, and in pretty good shape. That just intrigued her more. Was it even in English? Atlantean?
Something else caught her attention now though, as short lived as it could be. The hierarch mentioned a certain Mysterium staple, and it sounds like it has seen better days. "Hierarch, if you have the time sometime.. would you be willing to show me around?" She didn't say it in so many words, but she was referring to the Athenaeum. She didn't have confidence he would say yes, she wasn't allowed much access to it even under her mentor at her prior Consilium, but things seemed different here, very different. No council? Just what happened in Sacramento?
On the plus side, a nobody like her might be able to make actual contributions here.
