Like, at home later" Although he addresses both Cosmo and Phoenyx, Shodan clearly appears more interested in his surroundings than in the mages themselves. Sure, there's no argument yet, but just in case... "There was some major juju going down here. Double flavor of Dominion and Secrets" There's no way to convey this information that is entirely innocuous, not that he can see anyway; but there's few enough people around that minor 'slip-ups' should be safe.
The Prime Mover studies the cables. The wiring could use some work and that might satisfy the spirit, but he's not about to spend a whole day here. So, Shodan uses whatever technical expertise he has to check if the cabling can be improved upon with basic tools like, say, the duct tape and multitool he has in his backpack.
It also takes him a minute to notice something has caught a free ride on his shoe. Must have hijacked it during the scrutiny attempt. If he's lucky, that's just mud or feces. If not? Seer bioweapons. Goddamn.

I'm not sure if messages can be sent without actual sound using the Transmission spell, like Kaze did it. It sounds more like the province of Telepathy and Mind in general Yumyumcrow

PresenceThe doctor in her didn’t want to believe the old guy, but she had nothing to base it off. And while Kaze’s contact seemed like a nice guy, they didn’t really seem to be getting much.
So she finds herself drifting towards the door, and once there, she steps outside and looks for the building in question. If she can see it, she’ll open her eyes to the grimmer side of being able to see. But it was stubborn, and she wasn’t able to pierce that veil. With a small frown, she continues to look around the area.

October leaves the shop. Outside, the police cruiser has gone. There is only the strangely quiet street (all the action is down at the new shopping strip) and the street corner with its alleyway and the secret ruins poking up from beyond the store fronts.
The Grim Sight does not take; but the Enchantresses Temporal Wrinkles remains true. The ruins - they shiver and glitter and shimmer. Time doesn't just snag the old office block; it wrapped up in knots around it.
Across the way, deep in the ruined complex, Shodan sets to work while Cosmo and Phoenyx talk. living stone is spending his time listening intently and checking their surroundings.
The Prime Mover discovers that the mass of cables are focussed on a large power box at the top of the stairs. The box might have been an important hub or substation in the building's electrical grid but now it is hard to say, as the power source has been cannibalised several times over - and in some cases used as a boost for an outside source of power to boot. What remained as an accident waiting to happen - but at least he could prune it of the more useless cables and more properly secure what remained. His work might even allow another enterprising squatter to run a few more cables to the power source...
But it wouldn't boost the power.
Shodan found shit and candy wrappers and what he prayed was simply moist dirt on his shoe. Easily scraped off, but eeooow!
Living stone has been quiet for while trying to figure out what to do about the sounds if he should check the locations where they are converging first approaches the first talon "There are appears be sounds converging dropped glass whispers the someone else approaching it doesn't sound like they approaching just on this room but also floor above and also behind us" he doesn't make a sound but mouths the words in front of her cautiously then mouths a question "What should i do check one the place i heard the sound or just keep watch"
he keeps looking at he but also listening for more sounds and better indication where they are coming from

If Phoenyx was trying to make this a teachable moment it was failing. Cosmo was the one who entered the building while the others meandered and deviated. Cosmo was the one with a lead on the actual location of the object when the others were just entering the building. Thus, Cosmo had no intention of surrendering his accomplishment to someone who did nothing but catch up to him.
"Is this juju beneath the floorboards? The secret thing is under the floor somewhere. My friend is going to take me to it, as soon as someone boosts the power to the cables."
And with that his attention fixates on Shodan, hoping the Libertine would be more cooperative.

Moving forward...
Spark remains trapped in a conversation with the Spectacled Guy - he can't escape the fellow right now.
Kaze is locked in conversation with Old Ben, leaving October alone on the street, gazing up at the ruined building.
Shodan completes his work on the cabling and heads back down the stairwell to where Cosmo and Phoenyx wait.
living stone alerts Phoenyx to what is building up around them and goes back to watching the group's collective back. And he catches sight of them.
Them. A group of men and women - though in truth it is hard to tell between them; a group of desperate vagrants so broken, beaten, and ostracised that all scraps of humanity have been driven from them. Spare, gaunt, figures, dressed in wintry wraps: angry, sullen. A group of people to whom comprehension has been reduced to simply hurt and being hurt.
They are coming.
Fortunately, the Shaman estimates that the mages still have time to retrace their steps, and escape the ruins, before the mob reaches them.

Kaze glances over as October heads out of the store, momentarily concerned but apparently thinking she seems self assured and careful enough to be okay on her own for a minute...and seeing Spark is unable to break away and still wondering about Old Ben, Kaze nods to the shop keeper and says, "Well, yeah sure you can take care of yourself, but you don't just look out for yourself, do you? I mean, we have to try to look out for other people too, don't you think?"
Kaze pauses and then asks about a new product, how it's selling. He takes advantage of the momentary distraction to improvise using his connection with Life to assess Old Ben's Life situation, specifically his health.
The write up for 'Healer's Trance says the ST should roll it, but let me know if you prefer me to roll. It should be (Life 3 + Gnosis 2) and it's extended, but Kaze isn't doing it formally because while he has been known to just meditate right in public, he doesn't want to make a big deal right now with Old Ben seeming touchy.

PresenceNot having the sight take hold is frustrating. But still being able to see the ruins, the glitter and shimmer coming from them. That was pretty cool.
It was weird seeing a street so quiet. Her eyes look around, not used to a city street being…quiet.
What was going on with this place? Was it the whole block and not just the building? Why was Time focused there?
She begins to walk towards it.
