“Oh. Okay, no problem. I’ll be right back.” Kaze says as he realizes that his jacket doesn’t conceal his katana at all. He returns to his truck and deposits his katana, coming back to rejoin the others as living stone arrives.
”Got it.” He says as Phoenyx assigns tasks to teams.
Kaze scopes out the neighborhood looking for anyone he knows.

Striking LooksSpark nodded when Phoenyx assigned teams and tasks after she gave out orders he spoke up. "I should mention, there's some kind of distortion, like when a radio frequency gets garbled in a storm. It's coming from where the note sent us. I can't pinpoint the exact location from here."
With that he follows Kaze along the renovated side keeping his eyes and ears open for anything out of the ordinary or if anyone was following them. He kept his hands in the pockets of his jacket.

Living stone arrived as everyone was heading out so he decided to follow Phoenyx as he did he also looking around the area they walked and the people he saw among the streets trying to perceive if they were being followed or if anyone suspious or out of the ordinary was looking at them.
Typically a woman of few words, Phoenyx wastes no time explaining any kind of plan to them, which makes Shodan strongly suspect that she doesn't have one. And the fact that he's going to act directly under her with Cosmo at his side can't be a coincidence - clearly, the Arrow wants to test them.
By that point, the two teams have probably separated, and taught by his experience on that rainy night near the Eisenduller gallery Shodan would rather communicate with both his hands free. So he shoots a text to Spark , Kaze and October .
Hopefully they'll get it.
"Is this a good time for me to mention this place has more gangbangers than ordinary citizens? And for some reason they keep fighting for control over the buildings we are heading towards?" He says to Cosmo, Phoenyx and Living Stone, the newest mage who seems to be joining their group "There's some kind of rejuvenation project going on, though. Only halfway done by now, but still better than all the others. This means cops. Like the two cruisers riding around here. I suggest we keep our head down" Whether Shodan himself will take his own advice remains to be seen. A lot can happen before the day is done.
"And that distortion Spark mentioned? It's a thing. I'll need a minute before I can say if the exact source can be pinpointed, though" And frustratingly, the target slips away from him, like... well, like the invisible transmission that it is. After some time the Libertine thinks he's got it, a tiny glimmer of hope, but it may very well be transitory or just wishful thinking.
In any case, he follows the First Talon, waiting for her input.
Per our earlier Discord discussion with Yumyumcrow , Shodan tries to home in on the exact source of the signal distortion, at a -3 penalty. I've succeeded on the 3rd attempt, it's obviously ST discretion if he allows the subsequent rolls at all, or just how much time will it all take

PresenceA smile and nod to those that arrive. Some new faces, well, newer than her, which was good.
The sword gets a look, not a good way to blend in.
When Phoenyx mentions her going along the renovated side with Spark and Kaze, she nods in understanding. And she didn’t envy the Arrow pairing up with Shodan and Cosmo, though she would have loved to be a fly on the wall for that fun.
The fate of the area was depressing, but it was set.
She follows behind Kaze and Spark, looking around as she did.
As her phone alerts her to a message, she looks, seeing it was from Shodan. But wasn’t exactly sure what it was. Besides looking like a radio frequency, and maybe it was.
"Did you get the text?" she asks, wondering if they could find a radio, or maybe download one on their phones.

The First Talon nods to Living Stone. It will be good to have the other Arrow along.
"Is it a good time... to share pertinent information? When isn't it?" Phoenyx replies to Shodan, sounding genuinely confused. She listens to the research Shodan has done on the area. "That is helpful. But as for the police, we are just people on the street. We're just looking around. That's all we have to do so far, and see if there is anything to the Boss's lead."
She nods at the comment about the distortion. "See if you can find it. Everyone else, look around." The First Talon tries to spot anything of note the mundane way.
Not sure how long we have between things - I figured making a roll each post would add up the time more or less.

Phones buzzed, information was exchanged, and Cosmo was left with a simple question.
"Why don't we," A finger darts to Kaze, Living Stone, and October before pointing down the street. "continue on to the location the note said while they do that? A few blocks down I believe?"
Before they answered he was already walking, content to ignore any order that put him in a group with Shodan. There was also the fact that the actual prize wasn't here, and part of Cosmo was still eager for a win after getting blue balled at the pawn shop.

Spark Kaze and October head down the street to the much newer and renovated part of the neighbourhood. The area had a crisp newness to it, a general cleanliness, that made the area stand out. Already some of the shop fronts were filled by small clothing stores and a grocer. Another store front was in the process of being kitted out.
The little park was artificial-looking but had attracted a number of families and a couple of individuals. It was green space in an urban sprawl, no matter its design.
Spark October and Kaze don't notice anything unusual or out of place; there is certainly no one following them or taking an overt interest in their movements.
Phoenyx Shodan and living stone head for the older, more decayed part of the neighbourhood. The contrast was marked: neglect and ruin: from the buildings cut off from the street by chain-link and barbed wire, to the cracked and uneven sidewalks; to the border up store fronts. The laundromat looked grotty and frozen in time (1970s maybe?) - it did not look like a place you would want to be seen in. The corner store was worn, rather than decrepit, and had a steady stream of custom; probably had something to do with the chatty proprietor whose harsh voice could be heard seeping from behind the door and window of the store.
Shodan follows the First Talon more slowly as he tries, several times, to triangulate the source of the disturbance. By the time he has caught up with the Obrimos and the Thyrsus, he could only really suggest that the dissonance had its source somewhere in the buildings at the end of the alleyway - the crumbling ruins who were a blight upon the neighbourhood.
Cosmo heads right for the street corner. It is not a particular insightful or exciting spot: a street corner with a large sidewalk and an alleyway. The alleyway is most ominous: positioned in such a way that it is very prominent when looked at from the street. The alleyway leads straight toward the blight affected buildings that are the source of the area's poor reputation and the main reason why the redevelopment has been so difficult - what was once a small office block now a fortress of neglect and crime, sealed behind chainlink and rusty barbed wire. At the end of the alleyway, the fencing was that torn up and buckled it would pose no obstacle for those seeking access to the buildings.
A police patrol car drives down the street, slowly. Nothing appears to happen and neither the vehicle nor its twin occupants register as anything other than Sleeper's to those who look.

Kaze keeps alert, sticking with the plan. He watches Cosmo go his own way without commenting. At the text from Shodan and October's question, Kaze nods, "Yeah. It's a Path-Force thing. 'Transmission'." he 'explains' somewhat cryptically.
Kaze tunes in to the frequency that Shodan identified in his text. <"Check."> he says in his Transmission.

Striking LooksSpark blinked at his phone for a second until Kaze quasi-explained what it meant. Unfortunately for Spark the spell didn't work quite as intended, IE: it failed. The man sighed exasperated at the luck he was having with getting his spells to work today. Something was just off.
