First Estate Gathering

Well now that was formal. She thinks, watching the unobtrusive Kindred. When his attention turned to her and he bowed, she offered a smile and nod of her head, “Good evening.” Greets the Savage.

With the way the Domain had been fluctuating in numbers and Covenant members, she wasn’t surprised. Nor would she criticize Twist, as Judex, she knew what was best and appropriate.

At the posing, Ale had to smile. Though she did wonder if the Duchess could look bad in anything? “Grazie.” She says with a bow of her head. But the dress was still uncomfortable.

Glancing around the room once more, “We should hold more events here.” It was a beautiful room.

Ah yes. Seating. One of the little fun games of the Invictus. There was a nod as she moved, placing herself near the left chair directly on the side of the head of the table. From where she stood, it was obvious she intended to pull out Twists seat should she allow it.

Dark eyes then watch the others, curious most of all to see where Jack places himself. And as he chooses his spot, there was no indication from her if it was correct or not.

Edward wasn't bothered by the lack of attention. It wasn't that he failed to notice it; on the contrary, he would be concerned should focus fall his way. It really was stunning how attractive the other three were, and how powerful two of the three were. At least Twist upholds the Daeva name. He almost flinched at Twist's sudden motion.

He raised his eyes and waited his turn to offer agreement, "as stunning as those in attendance." His sincerity was complete, and he spoke without airs.

When Twist invited the group to begin, he followed their lead. Watching Jacque, Edward went to the opposite side of the table. The farthest from the head on the right. He held himself with exact posture, and hands clasped behind his back. He would wait until Judex and Prince had been seated.

As the others moved in agreement toward the table, Twist moved with easy assured footsteps to the chair set at the head of the table. Noting Alessandra’s silent offer, she allowed the gesture, settling smoothly into the seat.

As the men found their own seats, she watched with dark eyes. The order matched what she had expected, it was early yet for both of them to yet claim a chair opposite the Prince after all. Morbidly she wondered if either would be around when the next gathering took place, and if by then they would consider it.

Shaking the dark thought away, she smiled around the table as bodies stopped shifting, the movement of sitting completed.

”We will begin with any updates on old business ...” Turning, she looked to Ale, granting her the floor should she wish it.

Once Twist was settled, the Savage moves to her seat, folding her hands on the table.

A quick nod, “The only news I have is we are now without an Au Pair as Madam Simmons has departed the Domain. I hope this doesn’t affect new recruits into our ranks.” Because that could be an issue, “With that in mind, I may not have the training Madam Simmons had, but I would be willing to assist if needed.”

With that, she looks to those gathered, then nods to Twist. That was all she had.

Jacque carefully watches each movement and gesture, waiting for first Twist to sit followed by the Prince. Only then does he seat himself and listen to the announcement of old business. He glanced briefly to the empty seat beside him and wondered if it was placed for Vivian.

He continued to silently watch and wait as the response to the update would likely decide who would teach him the unfamiliar etiquette of the Invictus.

Edward stood impassively while Twist was seated, only taking his seat after Alessandra began to seat herself. When she spoke, and her eyes briefly met his, he nodded in acknowledgement, and then turned his eyes back to Twist, remaining silent.

The faintest exhalation of breath, barely a sigh. Simmons gone. Vivian missing. For all that their covenant held the numbers, it was mostly due to grace of new arrivals. It wasn't a pleasant thought, but one she had to acknowledge.

"A shame to lose our Au Pair but it will not be the first time that Saramento has gone without one and still had the ability to grow our numbers." A reassuring smile offered, a brief glance toward Jack.

"No doubt your assistance will be most welcome." How far she had come. From seeking to teaching. She wondered if Asa had looked at her movement through the Estate in the same way.

"The only other existing business that I have is that our evening spent courting two of the local politicians went well. I believe that should Rome call upon us, we would be able to answer with ease." A well satisfied tone colored her words at the memory of the evening success.

Still smiling, she glanced toward Edward Heinrich , "And thus I think we can now move on to new business," a brief pause to allow for any last minute additions. "First a welcome to Mister Heinrich," if her welcoming smile toward the quiet man held traces of more, well, she was Daeva after all. And for all that he was easy to dismiss, it wasn't because of distaste. Dark eyes settled on him, giving him the chance to speak.
