Emily bows respectfully to the spirit. It may not be a ley line, but that doesn't stop there being an Oath of the Moon. There'd be time for mocking later.

She follows the gaze to the sign. <<It is a marking of humans - a reminder to keep the land safe from the flame, or be punished.>> Liberal peoetic licence was always a thing when dealing with Denizens of the Hisil. Still. Growling out this was murder on her him an throat. She steps forward slowly, rippling with muscle as she shifts to a more comfortable form - that of Dalu.

The Ithaeur strolls casually over to her Auspice-mate and leans on his shoulder. "Nature Jaggling, buddy. Very pretty, but you still owe me twenty bucks." she mocks playfully.

[Nathaniel Dormur]

Nathaniel shivered as the spirit gave breath to the land around them- Renewal of Nature was what Emily had called it... And it seemed surprised at it's surroundings... How long had it been asleep? And how angry might it be, at the world around them? Would it understand the way of things? And how did it feel about the Uratha...

Nathaniel finally activated the Spirit Drums, taking a deep breath and speaking once more.
<<The Land may have changed// The need for teachers has not// Neither, our purpose>> Invoking Luna's divine goal passed down to the Forsaken might not be the best approach- but it was the easiest way to establish Nathaniel's desires.

<<I would ask you, please// Do you know of Mystic Lines// That flow like rivers?>> Finding a way to describe Ley Lines proved somewhat difficult- a word didn't exist for them, as far as Nathaniel knew, and now didn't seem the time to invent them.

<<And could you teach us// Those gifts of the world's power?// We will repay this>> Nathaniel gently held out a hand of coffee grinds. A stimulant, and something often used as fertilizer (though that was pure luck on the crescent's part). Perhaps it would be taken well? It wasn't all Nathaniel would offer of course- but maybe a start.

Renewal of Nature looks intently at Emily for several seconds after she introduces herself, and Nathaniel, and the marking. Then abruptly the eyes move to look at Nathaniel. Nothing else moves, only the eyes sliding across the spirits surface.

Several more seconds pass after Nathaniel makes his plea. Finally the spirit's eyes flicker for a heartbeat.

<<River lines are of Gaia.>> Clay and stone swirl as the spirit speaks imitating rivers that flow in straight lines and intersect across the spirits form. <<Beyond me.>> The head moves in a convincing imitation of a person shaking their head.

<<When I was sleeping there were... humans? Who worshiped here.>> Renewal of Nature looks up and over the pack back to the metal marking sign. Then out at the river that seems..odd. <<Strange, different. More... you.>> At the last word a limb rises to motion towards you all.

<<Repay though, yes.>>

Matt watches, wary but not disrespectful or challenging in his posture or expression. He looks towards the spirit, but does not stare at it straight on. He waits to see if a bargain will be struck or if diplomacy 'by other means' will be required.

Emily nudges Nate closer to the spirit, chewing her gum quietly. "Dunno if you wanted to learn Nature gifts, buddy, but this seems like your gal if you do," She whispers.

[Nathaniel Dormur]

Beyond this spirit, of Gaia? That last part was what caught Nathaniel's attention the most. Other spirits could certain influence and associate with the waters- rivers and oceans weren't something divine that Spirits could not reside in or affect.... But Ley Lines? Did this spirit mean that such energies were beyond their ability to know of or understand? The thought made the crescent's head spin.... And it was clear further questions would be for later. Nathaniel intended to stay on good terms with this one.

Matt seemed tense- though that wasn't surprising. Nathaniel had brought him here in case things became tense, and the big lug seemed... Constantly ready for it. Nathaniel appreciated it- he doubted he could act so readily to strike it down. Emily's advice was taken to heart, as the pup continued to speak.
<<What would you request// in return for the knowledge// To wield such power?>> The pup gestured broadly to her entire being, knowing that gifts existed that could allow him to use or even create the elements.

<<And perhaps you might-//I would... We might enjoy a..- // an ally? Or a friend?>> Such requests always felt strange on the tongue- his mentor said that was because "friend" wasn't something that associated or registered with most spirits. Sometimes Nathaniel had to adjust, to find other words. Hopefully this one would be amicable to such a thing.

Matt sighs and settles down, still watching but lying on his belly with his head on his paws. There will be a lot of talking still, and bargaining. It's good. Apparently Nathaniel will be okay, without need of a violent friend. All the same, Matt watches, ready.

[Kelreth]

Upper limbs, what may be arms, rise and spread to indicate the area around the pack and the spirit.

<<Restore this land to nature>> and yet just off sync with that voice you all hear the same voice say <<Worship this land for what it was>>

Limbs retract until the spirit appears to be a single eight foot tall mound of dirt and grass and clay and stone. <<Wrong. Self.>>


The two green eyes flow into each other to form one larger eye with some form of design inside of it. <<Restore Nature as was.>> Then the spirit falls silent.

Emily turns and stares at Nathaniel with an "I told you so" look. "Just think very carefully before you sign us all up to this, dude. That's a big ask. Pretty sure B and Lurch have little interest in Nature gifts. And If I help you do this, I'm gonna want a similar favour getting a spirit on board with me futher down the line, savvy?"

She scratches behind one ear idly.

Matt stands up in a relaxed posture, ears out and to the side and tail at neutral, not up or down.

Then he shapeshifts to Dalu form, and though he now towers over eight feet tall, he still looks relaxed, and shrugs. "Restore this place to what it was. I'm game." he says.

To Nathaniel he says, "You don't owe me anything. Pack, right?"
