Nathaniel drops the backpack and gets to work, taking out the chalk and offerings, humming as everything was neatly set aside.

"I'm not sure what kind of spirit it would be, honestly. According to sources Ley Lines can have influence over all sorts of aspects- even architecture, in some cases. While I doubt I'd be able to awaken a manifestation of ALL Ley Lines, I don't know if waking up a spirit on a particular piece would even work. I could just end up waking up something completely random... And in fact, it might well be that such a powerful spirit DOES exist and doesn't need woken up at all... So, be ready." There was no telling what would happen. But no matter what, they might end up with yet another ally.

"Just be prepared to do what you can, then? I'm going to meditate before the ritual- we're too close to the city, it'll interfere. Could you and Matt create a circle around me with this? Binding rituals use them, as I recall." And it would set up for the rest of the ritual, providing a space to work.

It was easy enough to get into the zone- he'd had enough practice, able to just sit down and zone everything out as the steps that would follow played out in his head. The patterns to draw into the land- he'd have to refer to his notes.

Sometime during the meditation, Nathaniel shifted into Dalu; it seemed an ideal form, for what would transpire.

The big wolf leans into Emily expressing solidarity and agreement of purpose , nearly pushing her off her feet.

Matt settles down to watch Nathaniel’s activity and the results, his tongue hanging out and panting showing relaxed confidence and security that Nathaniel and Emily have got this under control.

It only looks like laughter.

"Do they really? Thanks for that revolutionary insight..." Emily replies, grinning but dripping with sarcasm. "Bone shadows, amiright?"[/I] She says brightly, looking around and realising that joke holds no water with this audience. She sighes. "Wasted."

[Nathaniel Dormur]

Nathaniel stands back up after the meditation, oblivious to what had been said prior, and finishes with the drawing of the circle, setting his drums and the caffeine near the center.

"Alright... Moment of truth. Wish me luck!"

With that, the wolf begins- taking one of his longer claws and barely tracing it into the earth, walking around and reading out the names and places of the Ley Lines in the First Tongue as he went through the pattern, careful not to step on his work, repeating this process until he reached the center for the fifth time, the Ley Line pattern drawn faintly-but-distinctly into the Earth by now- a maze of crisscrossing paths throughout the city of Sacramento.

"And now, Spirit that lies atop the Ley Lines that flow above and below the Elkhorn Regional Park, that crosses through the river and highways, that has slumbered in this world waiting for one's arrival... Hear my call- and AWAKEN!"

A guttural howl escaped the crescent's throat, as the ritual was completed and the werewolf waited, drums in hand to see whether or not his hunch would pay off, ready to start the process.

Matt's ears go back and his fur around his neck bristles as he gets to his feet alertly, snarling softly in a low subsonic rumble. He is prepared to use the Full Moon Clarity to quicken his reaction if an attack comes!

[Kelreth]

Fine lines and carefully written words begin to blur as the ground quivers and starts to move. For a moment it almost feels like an earthquake is coming then the feeling fades. In place of the shaking earth a small mound of grass and dirt pushes out of the ground slowly rising higher and higher. The patterns drawn into the earth seem to stick to the mass as it rises out of the ground. Then, once the mound stands easily eight feet tall, it convulses inwards before seemingly exploding outwards.

Except that only pieces of grass and small pieces of dirt coat the ground and likely the Forsaken nearby. Where the mound was is now a tall, almost feminine, humanoid of earth stands before you. Dirt and grass swirl through its form alongside areas of clay and broken rock.

Then a low rumble escapes from it as two glowing emerald green eyes appear and the grass and dirt shifts to speak.

The Iron Master leans casually against the hulking Urshal form of Matt, and blows smoke into the air. "Good Luck Nate!" Just because she wasn't certain, it was important to be supportive.

For a second, nothing happens. And then....

"Holy Shit..." Emily gawks at the spirit. "Okay.... not what I expected...."

Stepping forward Slowly, Emily reaches out to the Hisil for information about their new guest.

...Was breathtaking. The crescent paused his step as the form was made manifest...

-and failed miserably, tripping over his words and rhythm before speaking, completely dismissing or not yet realizing that he was covered in dirt and grass and dust.

"I... I am... Oh! um..-" The young pup composed himself, hoping he hadn't soured things up, and continued on- managing to keep a beat on the drums, forgetting he had not yet activated the Fetish as he continued on in the Spirit tongue. <<I am a crescent// that sought knowledge from your wake//and seeks a tutor>> The pup had to bite his tongue, hard, to keep from saying more. Only answer the question, for now. The quick words were ill-composed and barely matched the typical scheme. He hoped it was enough to persuade this new spirit towards friendlier goals.

The spirit was taller than the pup... Taller than Matt as well. Was it an elemental?... It couldn't be a gaffling... This wasn't like their Eye-in-the-sky. This felt like something more, in every way, and it made the crescent shiver. Was it a manifestation of the Ley Lines? It was impossible to tell, for now- though if this scenario was anything like before, Emily was already on it.

Matt crouches in a position prepared to leap upon the spirit and try to rend it with his fangs!

If it looks like it will attack or if Emily signals. Since Emily actually had asked him NOT to start anything, Matt doesn't attack, but is coiled with tension like a spring, ready to 'finish it' if necessary!

[Kelreth]

A slow shift brings the green eyes to look intently at Emily, despite the even emerald glow you can feel the spirits focus. The spirit watches you with interest then shifts to look at Nathaniel as he stammers.

Emily hears a whisper on the wind as the spirit shifts its gaze<<Renewal of Nature is a Lesser Jaggling of Nature>>.

<<..teacher? Seeking a teacher?>> The spirit goes perfectly still and around you all as nature itself seems to take in a deep breath. Leaves still, branches flex, the grass pulls ever so slightly towards the spirit. <<Was a teacher once young Crescent. Many many turns of Luna ago.>>

Finally a breeze returns though everything seems just a little bit more alive than it was a few moments ago.

<<Young ones, what is that?>> A limb motions towards a metal sign stating that no fires are allowed in the park.
