Territory...marking?

"Okay. We'll have to leave the car here, and get back later. Sounds like this was proper grim stuff. I kinda wanna see, just to make sure, but...." the Crescent trails off, shaking her head.


Emily leads the pack down some grimy side-streets. "There's another park nearby. If we pull them out there maybe we'll have some more breathing room. Now, I wanna try and figure out what the hell happened before we get into scrapping, or we're going to have less to go on that we do now. Okay?" She looks between the two fighters, but more at Matt. Both him and Brigit were ferocious... she didn't want this getting out of hand if it didn't have to.

She wan't sure she was ready to be a murderer.

The Crescent moves the pack out intoa small park in the middle of Downtown. Then she realised something.

"Um.... is there a knack to howling? I, er.... always left that to the chief, or the other cahiliths befor him. You guys ever done a challenge howl before?" the Ithaeur looks at her packmates, a little confused.

With everything happening downtown this other small park is empty. No one wants to be out at night when the sky is flashing and sirens can still now even be heard in the distance. So the park is empty.

Like the first park this park is a block by a block. Some trees stand within it but mostly to give shade. Anyone driving by can see into the park and equally you all can see if anyone approaches.

Here the night lays quiet and waiting.

Brigit looks at the emptiness around them, nodding to herself as she assesses the terrain.

"Alright no ambush, got it," she said. Then the Talon smiles, placing a hand on Emily's shoulder, "You just gotta let yourself be wild... It doesn't need to be complicated. Besides... if you want to try and talk it's probably better if we don't call out a challenge in the Tongue."

Removing her hand the Once-Pure thinks for a moment. "It can... just be a howl," she says, "Wolves ain't common. So long as they aren't shit for brains we can probably get their attention. And if we see red and blue we run and try again."

Then she looks back to her packmates, "You can join or stay in Hishu, listen to your heart," she offers, waxing philosophical for a moment.

With that, Brigit looks to the moon smiling faintly as bones shift and groan while her two halves align. In moments, the Redeemed adopts the form of the pale wolf with the scarred hind the pack had seen her turn into a few times before.

The shift done, the Wolf-That-Is-Brigit points her muzzle to the sky and let's out a resounding howl to the night air.

"We just need more deets," Emily says, chewing her lower lip. That was right, wasn't it? "Wild? I can be wild..." She says grinning.

She means primal, not sexy, bitch.

The Ithaeur listens to Brigit's advice."That's... really smart. Thanks B." She stands and thinks for a few seconds, and then her muscles ripple and bulk out.

Plus, this way she could still hold her cigarette, which she then smoked.

Matt grins and changes sure enough, he hunches down to all fours and completes a transformation to a wolf the size of a Clydesdale!

One remains on two and two fall to four. The pack shows their true colors against humanity showing one of its own. There are no screams or cries of terror as the night hears the howl. Humanity has gone to ground or stands armed against the night.

Instead a response rolls to the pack mere heartbeats later. And its close, very close. Maybe only a block or two away. A single howl into the night.

"Jesus fucking wept..." Emily mutters at the enormous hulking form of Urshul-Matt. It was always creepy seeing a dire wolf as big as her Kuruth form, give or take an inch.

She takes a few steps forwards, watching the shadows for the emerging monsters.

[Brigit]

The Pale Wolf heard the howl as clear as day.

Her ears, like her expression, were alert. The head remained transfixed in the direction at which the howl came. She had told the potential ravager where she was, even if Matt and Emily hadn't joined her chorus.

All the Redeemed could do now was watch and wait in silence.

Matt snorts and moves to the front and side, breathing in all the signs and signals of the environment, waiting for an adversary to show itself!

Long moments pass as the response howl fades away... into laughs? No.. that's.. can't be right. Seconds stretch as the night reclaims is calm and silence, broken only by the faint noise of the active crime scene a few blocks away.

Then movement at a corner a block away. Shadows resolve into three people walking with purpose. At the same time that you all see the three are dressed in sharp suits they also pause at the gigantic dire wolf. Then a laugh.

Now across the street the three stop. The one in the center looks at you all with disdain, brown eyes under dark hair pointedly lingering on those on four legs. She folds a piece of cloth into a square and tucks it into a pocket.

"Really? Among the sheep and everything? Do you all really not know how to behave?" She shakes her head though her two compatriots remain silent. One women and one man, both in equally sharp suits as the speaker.

Matt's perception

Matt can see that the folded cloth has blood stains on it.
