A nod, a hint of a smile. Banter like this kept people at ease. Shodan was egotistical, she thought without irony, but he was talented. Even if he had yet to measure up to his own boasts.

She fishes in the coat for a card wallet and passes him a driving license to put her on the list. A hint of pride at the captain comment - sarcasm either overlooked or failed to grasp entirely. As the two boys start heading out, Phoenyx seems concerned at Shodan'sremark. "That's not a good thing..." she hisses after them.

Heading off in the opposite direction, Phoenyx does one loop of the block before approaching the club, giving the boys time to get inside. As she makes her way up to the door, she transmits "Heading in now," over the radio waves, so they know she's on approach.

As the two men make their way to the front of the queue, they're blocked by a tough looking guard in a black suit. Standing a good couple of inches taller than Kaze, the broad shouldered giant welcomes them with a threatening gaze. He studies the two for a second, his brows furrowed at Shodan's selection of attire, then in a monotone voice: "Back in the queque".
After he's adjusted his earpiece, he raises his arm to single out the fit asian girl (@Phoenyx Xadun ) that has just joined the queque, inviting her to step forward.

Feel free to approach however you see fit. Assuming no alternative action on your part, the guard could be convinced with a presence or manip + persuasion/socialize roll (if you take the direct persuasion route). Each dot of striking looks will ad a bonus dice to the roll. Trendy outfits can confer an additional die. Target number is 2 successes. The roll is individual

Kaze smiles and puts an arm around Shodan, handing his ID to Shodan to pass over as well.

Grinning to the tough looking guy in the black suit, Kaze says, "Hey, we're just here to make your party better, you know? We're all in this together. Let us in, so everybody else will be jealous and want it even more."

Phoenyx's eyes go tense as she is ushered inside, watching event - this is outside of her experience, but her professionalism is enough to manage not to look back at the other Obrimi and she stalks into the club.

Urgh. Loud. Crowded. Why do people like these things?

She makes her way up to a higher level, overlooking the dance floor, looking over the crowd to try and spot any magical sighs.

Phoenyx : The Guard ushers you past the entrance and the metal detector trough a flight of stairs leading to a service corridor which overlooks the dance floor like an overpass. "You're late, the other dancers are waiting in the changing room", he says as a matter of fact, before he goes back to his job below. The area is well lit and vaguely smells of bleach, audio equipment and stage props lay against its walls. To your left 3 doors; on the central one a plate reads "Staff", the other is a canonical "Fire Exit".
The booming echoes of a monotone electronic track reverberate against the sound proof glass of the overpass. Beneath, on the dance floor, the crowd is swerving, shadow bodies contort and dance energetically at the rhythm. Sometimes a focused neon light cuts through the shadows, shredding the darkness like a laser. A thick, energic resonance pumps through the layline, swelling its size. From your vantage point, the crowd seems to be composed entirely of sleepers.

Kaze , Shodan : One of the Gorillas extends his arm without lifting his eyes from the tablet. Then, after having checked that the cards are indeed theirs, he consults the list.
"You're in. Reserved table in the back too, Enjoy the night", he grunts before removing the barrier to usher them inside. As they walk past the metal detector, the machine seems to fizzle out, ignoring Shodan's presence completely. By the cloakroom, behind a bulletproof mirror and surrounded by CCTV monitors, a single man is handling cover fees. While two casually dressed promoters are stamping the hands of the guests leaving the floor to have a smoke outside.
From the ceiling, a camera silently registers everything.

Kaze nods and smiles amiably to his companion and to anyone else who tries to interact with him, even just through a glance or knowing look. He stays with Shodan through the detour to the bar and orders two Virgin Pina Colodas, one for each hand.

Then he goes with Shodan to the VIP room, keeping his eyes and ears open for Phoenyx or any other complications or persons of note, focusing on moving easily through the crowd with an athlete's grace.

Phoenyx watches the two mages enter, and begins sidling after them. Heading over to the bar she buys a drink so as not to be conspicuous.

The little Arrow leans against the bar and watches the door for he VIP room.
