From his vantage point Nathaniel can hear and then see his three packmates as they spill out out of the Defender.

Meanwhile it's not the surrounding that stand out to Brigit as she lays a critical eye around. It's the cloth hanging within the windows on the side of the building facing them. Ever so faint from here but they definitively have some form of drawing or printing of four legged and two legged animals on them. Almost like they tell a story as you go from window to window. The natural light giving them life.

Emily sees that the front doors are open despite there being no one else around, odd right? While Nathaniel's call to his other half met some resistance Emily's vision rapidly splits in two. Across the Gauntlet the building stands tall and proud in the Hisil. Cold looking stone that may be more than a facade wraps around the building. It's windows hang open like eyes onto the spirit world around it. Etching and carvings cover its full surface. Telling some story of four legged and two legged animals.

Vehicles leaving? Sure that happened but Jacob definitely hears the sound of a vehicle that approached and then the sound of voices. What those voices say is muffled but there are definitely others nearby as the Storm Lord moves towards the building.

Then that bell tolls again and its sounds very very familiar to the three Wolves that just arrived.

Matt sniffs in a perfunctory manner, but his attention is squarely on Emily. He is apparently determined not to let impulsiveness break Pack teamwork this time, and is waiting and standing by Emily to protect her and Nathaniel while they are peeking into the other side.

The Crescent watches the Church, towering up over the regular street, and shudders. "There's real faith in this place," she mutters quietly. "Laying down some fight can't be the way here. They're... I mean... not hurting anyone? I don't think?" she looks pleadingly at Matt. "Urrp... Yeah, I know, I don't believe it either."

She looks around again, and catches sight of Jocab watching the building. "C'mon lurch," Emily quips to Matt. "I wanna check something before B gets back."

Putting her cigarette back in her mouth she flounder over towards Jacob and flashes in a big smile. This close, the scent of another wolf is much clearer. "Hey!" She says brightly. "I'm Emily, and this is Matt. Can we... help you?" She asks.

OH $#*@$! EMILY!

And Matt. But Matt probably wouldn't kill him for snooping here alone.Should he go meet them? Oh hey sis, just thought I'd investigate a possible cult on a whim!... No, that wouldn't do. Not yet. He was still new in the minds of many, he could use that. And grouping together would be too revealing. And, with his packmates in here, it might be trickier for an enemy to discern his true nature. Hopefully.

And hopefully they'd think the same way. Packs worked well together, but... Wolves like... Had a single member slink away sometimes right? Hanging back to catch a retreating animal, or to start the panic?... That was a thing, right?

Nathaniel slinks back in the shadows, and takes a deep breath. Lets try this again... Eyes opened, things revealed. The shadow opened up...

...A Temple?... And those etchings... Were they stories that their faith inscribed, or did their faith attract these stories? Or was it the work of a faithful spirit? So many possibilities. Nathaniel would love to sketch these basic symbols at any other time. He just might, in the future. Etching the forms depicted as best he could.

As Emily Makerith approaches Jacob Wilson and Nathaniel Dormur looks across the veil between words Brigit and Matt Joule both see the outline of a hooded man move and stand within the open double doors. The figure doesn't exist the building but instead remains there. Behind the figure three shadows form into people who remain just inside the shadows thrown by the sun.

[Matt Joule]

"Sure thing, Smurfette." Matt says, grinning with a feral intensity as he looms large behind Emily to approach the stranger.

Then he says, "Hey. Shadow people over there." indicating to Emily the location of what he's referring to by a jut of his chin.

[Brigit]

Brigit remains where she was, watching the scene as Emily and Matt part off to confront a stranger with binoculars. She watches the church with arms crossed.

As the figure and his retinue show up in the door, Brigit stands tall, her arms unfolding as he gaze rests firmly on the central figure of the core group.

Hooded figures congregating around the entrance could only mean a few things to the Talon. On one hand, they were guarding the door. On another, they were going to try something against the Herd within. However, the most unsettling thought that crept in was one regarding the status of the People. Emily had said the pack had encountered them before... if they were affecting the Hisil there was a chance they could sense the Uratha. Or that they were able to spot the Giant form of Matt and Emily's trademark hair. They were distinctive like that...

Regardless, Brigit didn't budge. And she didn't avert her eyes. Part of the Redeemed wanted them to know she was watching, but another part wondered if they already knew.

[Nathaniel Dormur]

Nathaniel was almost too entranced by the shadow to notice the individuals at the entrance. This was... unsettling. Some of the Uratha had the ability to mold individuals, to be certain- but on a scale like this?... Was this a wolf affair, or something more?

How much danger could they be in.

There would be an easy way to tell- the crescent closed his eyes once more. The shadow showed the reflections of this world- a temple of sorts. What was done here? Was it malicious? Nathaniel was glad people seemed attracted to the individuals at the door, as this gift would be difficult to explain.

A deep breath, as he activated the Death Sight- and gave a small prayer to Luna, to steel himself for what he might see.

Nathaniel "can see ghosts and perceive the spiritual imprint left where a person or higher animal died, though the knowledge could bring him grief"(according to the Wiki)

[Emily Makerith]

Emily smirks and raises an eyebrow. "Smurfette? Do I look blonde to you babe?" This was fun.

She follows Matt's gaze. "Uh-oh. Did... Did they just loom out of the dark like some frikking shadow ninjas?" She mutters up to him, then burps loudly. "Urgh.... okay... I might have overdone it on that pasta. I really hope we don't have to, like, run or anything." She turns back to Jacob Wilson . "So, uh... what's your name buddy? Oh, hang on."

Emily pops her fingers in her mouth and whistles over at Brigit, waving her back over.

Matt grunts, "Yeah, I guess you're right, Munchkin." he says to Emily. "The munchkins do blue, right, and you know, 'munch'...it fits."

He turns to face the new wolf that Emily is talking to, Jacob Wilson. "You just passing through, or looking to pitch in with things, maybe have a place in a Pack, defend the territory against the Pure?" he asks.
