Oh, for fuck's sake. They'd killed her, or at least, the persona of Alicia Abernathy. A hooker, dead and buried, destroyed here in the bed of Erika Alten. Was this a framejob for her? A message? Her Beast kicked, the urge to feed rising, but she'd been ready. Tipped off. She wasn't starving. She could resist...

She picked up the phone, but didn't say anything. This was a message being sent to her, to them, to the Domain. Whoever wanted to say something could.

Derek, still feeling nervous, tries to keep up and begin investigating the room. He notes the woman and her state briefly before searching for a nearby window to allow for air circulation. Next he looks instead for surveillance, taking out his bug sweeper and beginning a sweep of the room for broadcasting radio signals in case they were being watched.
He looks up from his work as the phone rings, pausing only a moment before going back to his task while listening closely.

Mable flies out the open window to watch. She stays near by in case she is needed to be weaponized.
All three of the kindred were able to keep their beasts under control, some more easily then others. As Mable flies outside and keeps a perch and watch for anyone coming toward them.

Derek’s sweeper comes in very handy as he finds three cameras, one in the bedroom looking over the bed, one in the living room scanning the open spaces and one at the front door. He found a motion sensor at the back door of the patio as well. Thankfully whoever came in that would also get captured by the camera. Derek knows that the kindred were all captured on camera, even #cutebat.
Derek also found one other piece, the phone that Lina answered was also bugged.
“Hello Detective Moretti.”
As Derek did his thing and Lina fought to keep her Beast in check to keep her from becoming a slavering mess over the corpse before her, the voice coming through the line dropped her name. A flash in her mind, wondering how she'd been identified - but then, people with this kind of money could vet. Or, perhaps, she was on the end of the line with the person she needed to know, one step closer... a person who had made a clear point, who had killed 'her', who had ended this false identity that she had put together for the infiltration.
"Arnoud Giessen, I presume."
Either she was right, or she was wrong. It didn't matter. That the specter running around Echelon was known and identified would give a sane opponent pause.
Listen carefully. Listen past him, for anything that could identify his location...

"They have eyes on us," grumbles Derek to the others, feeling more pressure than ever at being exposed. At the mention of Giessen, Derek feels a chill, wondering if the Sheriff were correct. If so, it would mean his and Prosper's investigation may have tipped off the criminal finance boogyman. Either that or he had become aware of their probing by some other means.
While Lina is conversing and Mable is keeping watch, Derek begins to try and remove the camera above the bed from its fixture and discover by what means it is transmitting its signal. If it appears wireless, he will take out his smart phone and try to identify the strongest WiFi signal in the area.
